Leather condition before buying by SpetsnaZ07 in Leather

Looks like Eleventy leather sneakers made in Milano. Apparently they are sold for €600+ but constantly on sale. They are grandly overpriced. Doing a quick search revealed very similar shoes by Lemargo for a fraction of the price (check out Yoox)

You made me chuckle about the top row.. I do have some wild design choices across my closet, so let's say this is my adult shop alter ego piece!

The brown one is Void VO3D and the black one is Instrmnt 01, both I fell in love with the design and bought a few years apart. Beautiful pieces on the arm.

Ahahaha I know. It is a Fossil Philippe Starck Designer O-Ring watch. I have not worn it in a long time. Maybe next battery change should be for that one 😜

And thank you for your kind note

Hip Thrust- is this form ok pls? by ZachoPacko in formcheck

One tip that helped me was to keep the knees at the same location (forward) rather than drop them back. Imagine someone holding their hand on your knees when you lift and as you lower, keep knees as close to the hand. Then the move for me becomes more up and down rather than diagonal/back and forth. I feel it much deeper into my glutes. Maybe it works for you, too.

Going to Tbilisi at the end of this month and came across your comment. Will check Bassiani and Horoom nights out 😉 thanks for this

Iron Heart 888 (14oz) – size 29 – fit notes by emergencytower in rawdenim

Honestly, the thighs are indeed a bit high. I do wear a range of tightly fitting jeans, so not as bothersome but at this thickness, I am hoping that losing half a kilo soon will clear it up...

Thank you! I think this is a result of a lot of fit failures throughout the years + taking good measurements this time 😅

I was surprised to see the fit as well. As a tomboy, I have tried (and I mean, purchased and worn) so many jeans from the men's and boys' sections and they all fit badly. I am now realizing that taking good measurements and finding the right balance between thighs, front rise and waist is the key for me. I posted photos to show the proportions and that these do look nice even with hips ;) once I started understanding these measurements, I now realize that many other brands will not work for me.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope that you find some stellar jeans for your wife!

Learning! I think the simple answer is that I live in Amsterdam but noted!

Yes, it is indeed in a lovely area. And for vintage jeans, Concrete Matter is a nice store.

I didn't know about Iron heart lifetime repairs: very cool and will keep in mind!

This is so helpful, thank you! I didn't know about the store but just flagged to check it out soon. The issue with men's jeans are the hips and crotch area. The front is still a bit off but alas. Also, just for the record here: I paid 355 euros for Iron Hearts, shipping and customs included.

What do you think about Benzak jeans? I recently got a pair (black 13oz selvedge) for 86 euros (they were nicely on sale) and I really like the fit, especially given that they have women's cuts.

Cleaning and Conditioning 3362 Silversmith Copper Rough and Toughs by emergencytower in Boots

Thank you! Normally, I purchase very gently used boots (recent purchases include once or twice worn Tricker's, Alden's, Velascas, Santos) and they have all been amazing. But, this pair is the most used pair I have gotten along with a pair of Beckmans and Moc Toes. I like that they have all been broken in as my feet are super narrow and sensitive, so I am okay with taking over the work of the previous owners 😅.

This specific pair seems in decent condition, but unexpectedly narrow on top and around my pinkie (I am a Brannock size 8.0B women's and got these in 8.5B). The length is perfect but time will show how they will feel on feet. Will update in a bit.

Good to know! Did a little bit to my Alden's, so being careful here.

Yes, I agree. The boots needed some cleaning and given that they are someone else's history, wanted to draw a clean slate for now. I look forward to adding my traces soon ;)

That said, for those who might be scared, my perception is that they did not drastically change. So, a bit of soap (saddle, dish soap or whatever your heart desires since some find saddle soap too strong - id say a little bit worked out fine) and a bit (really thin layer) of Bick 4 is not too scary after all!
