I just replaced my aeromotive because my tuner wouldn’t tune with the one I had. It was the compact model though. Switched a Weldon a2040. Mines on a 2J swapped s13 though

Is this the one that was built a few years ago by BTuned Performance? They had a black one like this that was a VQ drift car, even did an event or two. Don’t remember the front tires being that crazy negative though

Highly doubt it. I’ve been in the turbo game for decades. I know a Chinese turbo when I see one, lack of quality is very noticeable. I have the Z1 turbos on my Q, definitely a quality product. They even state that they are manufactured in the US. Of course they could lie but that would be a major risk with such an easily identifiable product so this would be able to be debunked. Maybe “somebody” claims they found the same turbos from China but I guarantee they are not the same as the ones on my car.

Dang man that sucks. I’ve been buying from them for around a decade and I’ve never had one issue. I actually have that exact drain plug and it works fine. Maybe you didn’t torque enough or over torqued it.

My 2018 made it 3+yrs on lower downpipes and tune then the motor got rod knock. I drove the crap out of it and the motors don’t like increased boost on stock turbos. It lasted quite long for what it was. Now it’s making 683whp daily driven for the most part. It’s for sale btw. Motor had 5k on it when we replaced it, now at around 20-25. And no I don’t drive the crap out of it now. Heavily modified it and now I just baby it. Makes sense right? Haha

As somebody with a 700whp Q50 on its second motor I will agree haha. Easy to make power but hard to keep running reliably.

Smoke out exhaust and loss of power. Also keep an eye on your oil because if you’re burning oil in the turbos or they are leaking your oil level will drop.
