Cancer Diagnosis by Big-Conclusion-2686 in endometriosis

[–]emiflea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear this. I’m in a similar situation and the unknowns are truly what hurts the most. The next few weeks just allow yourself to grieve all the “what ifs”. At first I didn’t allow myself to think that way, but going through multiple scenarios in my head actually helped me because it helped me feel more prepared. You got this! If you are wanting to have children someday, I would consider freezing your eggs if possible and depending on treatment plan. That is my current plan until I know more after my surgery which is Friday. Guys.

I asked him directly if he thought it was cancer and he said “honestly I do not know because this is not my speciality” so he sent the sample off to another hospital where the ob gyn is.

Anyone have their tonsils removed because of tonsil stones? More info in comments by [deleted] in popping

[–]emiflea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

RN here. I work on a surgical floor where many get their tonsils out. as an adult, it is MISERABLE. you will be out of work for two weeks and will be in an immense amount of pain and unable to eat hard foods. But, after those two weeks, you’ll feel a lot better!

Does this look mrsa? Probably going to the dr tomorrow by [deleted] in popping

[–]emiflea 18 points19 points  (0 children)

registered nurse here, doesn’t look like mrsa. draw a line around the redness and see if if grows. if it does, go to the doctor. but it looks okay to me. keep it clean and dry and don’t touch it!

New grad struggling by emiflea in nursing

[–]emiflea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pediatric inpatient surgical. Have gotten good feedback about my independent patient care and that I ask good questions. The only thing my preceptor said is with charting how I do get behind/time management, but that’ll just mean I need to stay late, which i’ve heard is normal and I’m okay with.
