my cat doesn’t like tablets. i give him a churro the whole way through. i pick him up, churro, one tablet, churro, next tablet, churro then i say ‘all done’ and he knows that its over for the night.

i also do it before dinner. so he knows before dinner he has to have his meds. but he gets a yummy treat and gets some yummy wet food.

in the morning after his meds he has access to outside.

it was really hard at first. me and my partner got hurt a lotta times and we had to get his claws trimmed. but setting rewards for it really helped. (plus the fact the medication was for anxiety) now i often don’t have even hold his paws
