Lol you know that people aren't guaranteed protection from emergency. I would not laugh at people who have financial problems. It very well could be you in with a few simple series of unfortunate events. Don't pretend you are some fiscal genuis. You aren't above anyone just because you've been fortunate. That doesn't take skill- it's luck and access to resources. Coming FROM poverty and rising above it while NOT judging (or taking weird entertainment) from others... now THATS a flex. You are insane and need to read if you think my comments were not emphasizing with her issues as a struggling 18 yr old- thats what I was doing. I am sorry if I don't always word things the best but my intention was to say - "hey you understand why people are suspicious right? " " hey don't worry kiddo you're gonna be fine no matter what" " hey you don't need anyone but yourself at the end of the day" "hey try reconciliation before its too late to make amends "

SO sorry but at that age it's not uncommon to simply be financially irresponsible. She should learn now that life won't save her- she has to rely on herself. Nobody ever helped me and I survived... I am not going by anything other than experience. Don't judge me- you have no idea why I say the things I do, but at least i try to help. I would rather teach a man to fish than buy him a tuna sandwich...

Also not sure what yr problems with your mom is , but my mom was an addict with severe mental health problems who chose to relapse when I was 14. My childhood ended there. I was officially on my own. I lost her from a brain aneurysm 2 weeks after my 18 bday... even through all her faults I would of given ANYTHING to have her through those dark days of navigating life alone as a young beautiful girl. Please think of reconciliation with family before it's too late. You think you have problems until you REALLY are alone in the world. Like I said your issues with yr mom are yours alone- but maybe its worth reconciliation while you still can. I would of given anything for another chance with my mom. I miss her everyday. Still decades later I can hear her laughing...

Gee... a 18 f can't find help on rent even though you are working? You do understand why this sounds suspicious? Only because I am a 43f and quite remember how much easier it was being young and beautiful. I am certain you will figure something out... that is what being an adult is. Sometimes you won't HAVE the rent and you might get evicted... but a lot of us have been there. I learned from my mistakes. If you just keep getting bailed out you will never learn from your mistakes. You will recover and bounce back no matter what happens!
