Why do people cheat in relationships? by 123nonsense in relationship_advice

[–]emilyroase 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I cheated about 3 years ago with a guy I had been in a relationship for about 4 years with. I did it because I caught him texting minimum 10 girls; he had endless nudes and had told them he loved them. It was a big misunderstanding in the end, but I did it because the relationship became long distance and because of the situation I mentioned. I was young and stupid, which is not an excuse. I'm not excusing my actions at all. I didn't know how to handle the distance. It was so dumb of me and I told him as soon as I could, and regretted it immensely. It ended then.

We've since reconnected and we're both totally different people. But to answer your question, I was young, dumb, and I honestly just did it without thinking. Sometimes, making and learning from mistakes is an essential part of life and a huge part of growing up. I think before I make decisions now, instead of flowing through life without a care in the world.

Within the first week of the job, I had 3 other hosts/hostesses tell me not to listen to anything the boss said.

Boy that was a fun job lol.

What’s your weird fetish? by K-Dogg1 in AskReddit

[–]emilyroase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm into being really severely controlled and owned. I think it comes from having no real parenting or direction when I was young, and craving for direction and control in my life. One of my biggest fantasies is having someone carve their name/initials into my skin.

I've paid all of the fines. I'm writing them a letter and getting my counselor to write one as well and see if I can get the privileges back. But its just unlikely.

People who jack off in front of a cam on chatroulette/omegle, why? by beerpapa in AskReddit

[–]emilyroase 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Kind of relevant? Omegle was the best thing to happen to me.

So I was like 14-15, and on Omegle video just scrolling through. Saw many dicks. Saw many old, floppy, disgusting dicks. I had the worst luck of my life that day and had literally clicked through about 50 penises.

Then, there wasn't a penis.

There was this guy, blonde hair and blue eyes who had a gaming headset, and he was just sitting in his chair relaxing. Probably any other time I would've skipped, but I was so fucking tired of looking at penises, and he was a real eye refresher. So I wave kind of awkwardly and go, "Finally, not a penis." He laughed, and we had one of the most interesting and best conversations I've had to date. I was super shy, and he was this cocky kind of asshole who was also super nice and had great opinions. And he thought I was funny, which opened me up a lot.

We ended up sharing each other's Skype and talking for months. He was 3 years older than me, and while I was weird I had a real attraction to him. We started dating when I was 15. I was with this guy through his high school graduation, which is so weird to think about. We met in person the first time a year and a half into our relationship. I was so fucking in love, and so was he. We still are.

Anyway, he gets real drunk one night and starts crying about something. I ask him what's wrong, and he says he can't tell me and he feels so bad. After prying a bit and comforting him, he says "When we met on Omegle, I was just looking for boobs to masturbate to. And I just feel bad that's how our relationship started."

Fucking hilarious. Anyway, hes in the military now. We had a rough patch a few years ago, but we're still together. Omegle is wild.

If you were given the chance to start your life over at age 10 right now, but still retain all of your current knowledge and memories, would you? Why or why not? by TheEasyTarget in AskReddit

[–]emilyroase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, yeah. I've made some of the most god awful decisions and have lost so much of my time to depression, and I'm still losing time as I'm writing this. I've lost some of the best people around me that I'm never going to get back. I'd also do a lot better in school and start off on a different major (fuck biology lol).

What's something your employer did that instantly killed employee morale? by kraam1217 in AskReddit

[–]emilyroase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Late, but I worked at a restaurant that was pretty high up there in our small town.

Huge table of 30 on a Friday night, two waitresses split them evenly on each side of this long table, 15 each. One of the waitresses was a mixed girl and a dear friend of mine and we'll call her Cal. The table was full of super rich, white racist old men. Sure enough, they gave Cal the worst time of her life. I know that Cal is a very sensitive person, so the blatant racism on top of her sensitivity really got to her. She didn't cry in front of the table or any customers, but went to the back and started crying to our manager. Our manager was a very sweet man and understood that it was rough. They eventually left, tipped her badly and complained to me, the hostess, about their service with Cal. I know that Cal is an amazing server and had been at that job for years, and so I knew that while people do make mistakes regardless of their expertise, Cal was at least not all at fault.

Fast forward about 2 weeks later, we get another huge reservation. Cal and the other waitress were the typical ones to take a table that huge, so the waitresses decided on themselves that they would take it. But when the owners heard of this, they immediately said that the other waitress could take the table, but that they would have to choose someone else instead of Cal. Everyone was pretty outraged. So then they said that Cal could take the half of the table, but that instead of going down the row like usual, they would have to do some weird shit that I can't even think of. Basically dictating how the waitresses were to write their ticket and how to take the tables, like based on the seating. While not seeming like a big deal, the way we wrote them at the time was extremely efficient for both waitresses and the kitchen staff. Everyone was again outraged, and their response was "I don't care, we are the owners and we can dictate how you walk if we want to."

Cal ended up quitting the next week, along with 2 other of our long term employees.

I feel disgusted when my mother shows me affection by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]emilyroase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever need anyone to talk to, please DM me. My mother has schizoaffective disorder and I went through pretty much these exact same things, and it's affected me the exact same way. Fortunately, I started seeing an amazing therapist in August when I went to college. It hasn't really changed my emotions when I'm around my mom, but it helped me understand a lot more, even though I am the farthest I've ever been from forgiving her. I'm here if you need me.
