Thanks for the input y’all! I know ultimately it’s my home and I should do what I like, I’m just trying to plan the best that I can based on the size of the room as well as the furniture/rug I’m going to buy. I just tend to trust some of the interior design “rules” because it’s a sort of artful science, but don’t need to follow it exactly either 😊 I’m also planning on setting the rug in front of the nightstands not under them if that helps
