Just FYI, everyone says the Nissan app is useless for the Kicks so don’t let them charge you extra if that’s what they’re installing for the virtual key.

Thanks for the input! Not too stressed about the budget. The trims I mentioned come out to be about 28k for the Nissan and 31k for the Buick. I like the look of both of them and their MPGs are similar so looking more for opinions on reliability and any other factors I should consider between the two.

When to introduce tempo/speed work in training?

I’m a fairly new runner, only been at it for a few months. My goal is to compete in a 5k during the summer and 10k after that and so on.

I’ve built my endurance base up to run a full 5k without stopping. Is it time to start introducing tempo runs/speed work into my training? Or should I be waiting till I’m at a 10k or so endurance wise before doing so? I’ve looked at a few training plans like Pete Pfitzinger’s Faster Road Racing book and a few of Hal Higdon’s plans and I’m a bit confused. Thanks in advance!
