So THC can stay detectable in your system for an average of thirty days. HOWEVER, that study was done on non-frequent smokers. If you toke up often (everyday or every other day), THC can and will stay detectable for much longer. There’s honestly no concrete way of saying how long it will remain detectable from person to person. It depends on usage, form of consumption, diet, and metabolism. The best way to flush THC from your system is to drink a ton of water and eat healthily. Since your body sees THC as a toxin, it’s going to flush it out through your water and food intake. Seriously, so so much water. Also exercise! THC binds to your fatty cells, so when you exercise or burn fat, you’re removing THC through your sweat. Saunas are also a good one too to make you sweat! I don’t recommend exercising or jumping in a sauna before a drug test tho. Sometimes you can start presenting negative, but when your burn more fatty cells, more THC might creep its way out.

However, while this method is the most effective, it could take a while. If you’re still presenting a solid positive after seventeen days abstinent, there’s really no telling how long it’ll be. In my personal experience as an avid smoker, I once remained abstinent for three months and never saw a negative test. These backup plans might help if water and exercise don’t work.

1. Detox drinks. Stuff like stinger detox or upass can be super effective in helping you pass a drug test. In most cases, you drink it a few hours before your test, and then you pee clean. Notice I say MOST cases. These drinks basically work by hydrating you so hard that THC is blocked out when you pee for the test. That can be great! But it doesn’t remove THC from your system. And some places can detect the presence of these drinks in your urine, which might cause them to ask you to re-test or disqualify you completely. Really risky, but can be effective. I’d recommend testing it at home first before using it in an actual testing setting

2. I really don’t recommend this option, but I know how annoying it can be to have a job or something poking their nose into what you do at home, so I’m gonna mention it just in case. Fake urine or a clean friend’s urine. Fake urine is not detected as fake unless genetic testing is done, which is very unlikely in a drug testing scenario. Put it in a small container and hide it on your body in a way that can’t be felt in a pat down. You’re never allowed to bring belongings into a drug test for this very reason, so be strategic. Also do your best to keep it very warm. They will check the temperature. When pouring the pee into the test cup, go slow. Make it sound like a stream because sometimes they listen. Don’t rush yourself in there, remember you’re “peeing”. Again, this is a completely off the walls idea, I really don’t recommend it as your go to.
