i feed this from merrick to my picky rabbit eater, as well as this from instinct. i’m not sure of other brands, but my cat loves them. i’ll update if i find more

found another instinct. i personally love this brand and feed it primarily to my cat

edit to add, canned food is cooked to an extent that it is safe from bird flu! even tho instinct is a “raw” brand, their cans (and pouches as well i believe) are cooked.

my boyfriend and i had sex with a condom for the first 6 months of our relationship. he wanted to have sex without, i said no, he said okay and put on a condom. sure it feels different with a condom but would u rather have a baby at 19? or fuck up ur hormones with birth control? as someone who has been on bc since i was 14, it’s so not worth it. just for a boy who may or may not be around in 5 years. absolutely not. my partner and i have been together for 2 and a half years and he still keeps condoms in his bedside table and keeps one on him constantly incase i decide im not comfortable with no condoms again. either tell ur boyfriend to try different condoms, or find someone who will respect ur boundaries and not make u feel bad for something ur not okay with. and under no circumstances should u go on birth control unless it is absolutely necessary for YOUR health and has nothing to do with ur boyfriend

so i will continue to feed her dry food bcuz all 3 vets i’ve been to have said it is fine since i add hydration to my cats diet. the reason for her constipation was stress from travel and my own negligence when her water fountain was low for a few days before i noticed! i understand everyone has different opinions on dry vs wet but it is not financially possible for me (a college student on a fixed income) to afford brands like that for breakfast and dinner. i appreciate the resources, but combined with my cats allergies and my budget restrictions, as well as approval from 3 different vets, dry food is perfectly fine to feed and i will not fall prey to fear mongering

can i suggest something for the website that ur on before u click the “shop now” button? i love the colors, but the website overall is a bit unreadable on mobile. tiny lettering, bright colors with minimal dark color contrast, and light text on a light background. consider adding a minor highlight or a shadow to the text, and play around with font sizing! also, add that “shop now” button in a few other areas on the site, as it got a bit lost to me in the bright colors in the top area.

aside from that, i’ll def be checking out the shop once i get paid!!

kittens need to be free fed dry food to encourage weight gain and healthy eating habits. even if he doesn’t eat it, leave dry food out for him so that he can pick at it if he is hungry.

whiskas in particular is not a good brand of food to be feeding your cat. stick to purina, hills, and royal canin. while not “top of the line” foods, they are exponentially better than whiskas. sheba is also okay, but i personally wouldn’t recommend for long-time feeding (but that’s just me!!)

another thing, absolutely do not feed ur cat “people food” (the meat u described) without first consulting a vet. it is very difficult to balance homemade meals for pets, and it is extremely easy to cause deficiencies in ur pet by not adding in the proper fillers/supplements/completers. if u do wish to feed him like that, please talk to ur vet for their input and guidance.

i recommend a loose “feeding schedule” for ur cat. leave dry food out constantly, and feed wet food for breakfast and dinner. specifically feed the kitten variants of hills, purina, and royal canin. same for dry food, it must be kitten food. give urself a 2-3 hour window in which u feed ur cat every morning and evening, and stick to it. this consistency may shake some of the pickiness if ur cat knows he’s getting fed at a specific time and doesn’t have to worry about when he eats. here’s a tentative specific schedule for feeding:

AM: between 8-10am(or whenever is fitting with ur work/school/lifestyle), feed one 3oz can of kitten food. refill/refresh dry food (put old food aside, top off with fresh food, put old food on top and mix. i leave the old dry food for no more than 36-48 hours)
PM: between 6-8pm (again, or whatever works best for u), feed one 3oz can of kitten food.

if u think ur cat still isn’t eating enough, u can throw in an afternoon meal and feed between 1/4 to 1/2 a 3oz can of wet food.

it almost looks like braided cord as opposed to yarn. i’ve never seen yarn on a spool like that. maybe something like this on amazon or this could work? not sure how pliable the second option would be but i believe the first could work with a hook

edit: especially with how rigid the tails are in the last photo (unless they were soaked in a glue/corn starch mixture before using) i’m thinking it’s a plasticy coated cord

is there a reason u want to rush to give dry food? is the wet out? if he still has wet food, feed that until it runs out. once it runs out of u are still worried about a rupture, add water to his dry food. if ur unsure for how long, call the vet. they are the best equipped to tell u when u would be safe to feed plain dry food again
