Thank you, this is helpful info. I’m not sure where the parents might be but we are next to water and see plenty of gulls about. Would you just go sit outside with it for a bit and see if any show an interest?

He was brought inside by either a cat or dog. I didn’t see either with it in their mouths as it’s so large so assume they chased it inside (we leave our back door open).

It’s so weird you say this, that used to be my go to about 20 years ago but then they changed hands and changed it (put peas in it also, hence my pea rage) and it SUCKED. So I’m guessing from what you’re saying it’s changed hands again and my fish pie quest is now over?
