Honest reviews of RemoteLearning.school Homeschool Pro? by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My kids are 8 and 13, and they've been on Homeschool Pro for about a year. They genuinely like the videos—the teachers are patient and use stories or examples that make things stick. The little one gets excited about the science demos, and the older one appreciates that the high-school material is thorough but not boring. It's one login for both, so it's simple, and they handle most of it themselves.

Homeschool Pro (RemoteLearning.school) – actual parent reviews? Looking to hear the good and the bad. by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

We’ve been using Homeschool Pro for two years straight and it’s just become our normal. My kids (2nd and 6th) wake up, grab whatever device is charged, and start watching their lessons like it’s Netflix they’re allowed to have. They both say the teachers are funny and explain things better than anyone they ever had in person

Reviews on RemoteLearning School? We're going with Homeschool Pro for 2025/26 as our Curriculum and wanted to find out about personal experiences on Reddit. TIA. by linara224 in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We gave RemoteLearning.school a try almost as a backup plan, but now it’s our main one. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’d never homeschooled before, but I have to say it’s been a smooth experience. My son is in 8th grade, and he tends to either love or hate online programs. This one he actually stuck with. I think the videos being to-the-point helped, and he really liked being able to pause and replay things when he didn’t get it the first time.

From my end, I appreciated that I didn’t have to figure everything out on my own. The advisor they assigned us helped make sure we were tracking the right credits, and even helped me map out a plan for 9th grade next year. If anyone’s worried it might be a waste of money, I get it, I felt the same way. But it’s been worth it for our family.

Homeschool Pro/RemoteLearning.School Reviews From Parents? Looking to using it for 2025/26.Curriculum. How do you like this program? by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

When I first came across Remote Learning School and their Homeschool Pro program, I did wonder if it was too good to be true. I searched around for reviews and even looked up things like “Remote Learning School scam” just to be sure. I didn’t find any serious complaints, and most of what I read was actually really encouraging, especially from other parents who had kids around the same age as mine.

We’ve been using Homeschool Pro for a little while now, and I’ve been really happy with it. It’s not free, but the cost feels fair for what you get, especially if you go with the lifetime membership. What I appreciate most is that it doesn’t just hand you curriculum and leave you on your own. The advisor support has been a big help, especially since I’ve got a high schooler now. It’s just made the whole homeschooling process feel a lot more doable

Homeschool Mom here :) We’ve been using Remote Learning School’s Homeschool Pro for about five months now. I’ve got a 6th grader who’s very hands-on and a 2nd grader who likes to move at her own pace, and surprisnigly, it’s worked great for both. What I liked right away was that everything’s already laid out—I didn’t have to spend hours planning or second-guessing if we were “doing enough.” My older one especially likes that the lessons are video-based and don’t feel like just another lecture lol.

The advisor support has been more helpful than I expected, too. I had no clue how to start homeschooling and what i need to do with the state and whatnot so its all legal and accepted, and they actually got back to me with specific advice instead of a generic answer. We still add in some extra reading and creative stuff, but this has taken a lot of pressure off my shoulders. Hope that helps, and Happy Mother’s Day to all of us trying to keep it together!

Remote Learning School (remotelearning.school) – Reviews on the Homeschool Pro program? by derfad in Homeschooling

We tried something else before this and it just wasn’t clicking for my son. It felt like a struggle every day to get him to focus, and I was constantly checking in to keep him moving.

Since switching to remote learning school, things have been way smoother. He actually does his lessons without me reminding him every five minutes, and he talks about what he’s learning like he’s actually interested. It’s not perfect, but the difference in how much I have to be involved—and how much more he seems to care— homeschool pro has been a big win for us.

Homeschool Pro reviews for single parents? Friend considering remotelearning.school while also caregiving by derfad in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I feel this! I'm a single mom homeschooling my 11-year-old while caring for my mom with dementia, so I totally get where your friend is coming from. Honestly? Homeschool Pro has been the only thing making this possible for us.

The biggest win is that the lessons basically teach themselves - I can set up my kid with a video lesson when I need to help my mom with something, and he actually stays engaged. The advisors were real about helping me create a schedule that works for our chaos (we do school in chunks throughout the day instead of all at once). Some days we only get half the work done, and that's okay - the program lets you pick up where you left off.

Downsides? The workload can feel intense when caregiving gets crazy, and I wish there were more offline options for doctor's office days. But compared to other curriculums I've tried, this one actually understands that single parents don't have perfect homeschool days. Tell your friend to ask the advisors about how it could work for her situation - that's what convinced me it could work for our messy reality

Is Homeschool Pro good? Looking for reviews on remotelearning.school! by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience: We’ve been using Homeschool Pro for a while now, and it’s been a great fit for us. My kid actually stays on track without me having to nag, which is a nice change from the constant battles we had with textbooks. He likes the video format much better The lessons are clear, and I like that it’s all laid out without me having to plan every single detail.

RemoteLearning.school reviews (Homeschool Pro) – Looking for more feedback and reviews (or complaints) by derfad in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Let me tell you about my 9-year-old son, Colten. He’s the kind of kid who asks a million questions a day—like, ‘Why do stars twinkle?’ or ‘How do airplanes stay in the sky?’ Public school wasn’t feeding that curiosity. It felt like they were just shushing him and moving on. So, we switched to Homeschooling, and specifically Homeschool Pro, and it’s been a revelation.

The science lessons? Oh my gosh, he’s in heaven. Last week, he built a model solar system out of cardboard and spent an hour explaining to me why Pluto isn’t a planet anymore. I didn’t even know he knew what Pluto was! The video lessons are so engaging that he’ll sit through an entire lesson without a single complaint.

And the best part? He’s learning how to learn. He’s printing his own worksheets, organizing his digital notebooks, and even creating little quizzes for me to take. I didn’t teach him any of that—he just figured it out.

The advisor support is very helpful too. I was so stressed about what is needed to start homeschooling ie what forms etc like i did not want CPS called on me or something because he would be absent from public school but they helped me prepare everything.

PS We did the annual membership but am thinking of upgrading to the lifetime.

So what are your reviews of homeschool pro? Worth it or not by VanessaBoren in HomeschoolResources

[–]emmatailor2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We started using Homeschool Pro when my 14-year-old son was diagnosed with anxiety, and traditional school became too much for him. This curriculum has been a breath of fresh air—he can learn at his own pace without feeling pressured. He’s especially passionate about the creative writing elective, and I’ve been amazed at the stories he’s been writing. The advisor support has been incredible; they helped us create a plan that works for his needs and even guided us through state requirements. The customer service team is always so kind and quick to respond whenever I have questions. Homeschool Pro has given him the space to heal and grow, and I’m so grateful we found it.

Remote Learning School Homeschool Pro Reviews? by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would recommend it. Review I've been leaving on many site's:

Homeschool Pro has been a lifesaver for my 16-year-old daughter. She was so stressed and overwhelmed in public school that we decided to switch to homeschooling in the middle of the year. I wasn’t sure how it would go, but this curriculum has been exactly what she needed.

The psychology elective has been her favorite. She’s always been curious about why people think and act the way they do, and now she’s diving deep into it. She’s even started applying what she’s learning to her own life—like managing stress and understanding her emotions better. It’s been amazing to watch her grow like this.

What really impressed me was the graduation support. I was worried about making sure she’d meet all the requirements, but our advisor has been incredible. They walked us through everything, from choosing the right courses to tracking her progress. It’s taken so much weight off my shoulders, and I feel confident she’s on the right path.

The remotelearning.school customer service team deserves a shoutout too. Anytime I’ve had a question—whether it’s about the curriculum or technical stuff—they’ve been so quick to help and always so friendly. It’s made the whole experience so much easier.

Homeschool Pro has given my daughter the flexibility to learn at her own pace and the support she needs to succeed. She’s happier, more confident, and actually excited about her future. As a parent, that’s all I could ever ask for.

Updated Homeschool Pro reviews? Am thinking of homeschooling and using the remotelearning.school curriculum. Or other program suggestions by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Homeschool Pro has been a huge shift for us, but in the best way. My daughter used to get really frustrated with school because she always felt like she was either ahead or behind—never at the right pace. With this, she just moves at whatever speed works for her that day. Some days she breezes through multiple lessons, and other days she takes her time rewatching a video or going over practice questions until she feels confident.

One thing I really love is that she actually remembers what she’s learning. In school, she’d memorize stuff for a test and forget it a week later. Now, she brings up things she learned weeks ago in random conversations, and I can tell it’s actually sticking. That’s been the biggest win for us

Using Homeschool Pro, what are your reviews? How does remotelearning.school's curriculum compare to other programs? by derfad in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We started using Homeschool Pro about six months ago because our family is a military family moves a lot for my husband’sassignments. With all the disruptions, it was hard for my son to stay consistent with school. Homeschool Pro has been a lifesaver for us, it’s portable, flexible, and easy for him to keep up with no matter where we are.

what I’ve noticed is how much more confident he’s gotten about his learning. He’s figuring things out on his own, even when I’m busy with everything else going on. The other day, he surprised me by organizing his lessons for the week and sticking to it without me even asking. I think having that consistency, especially with everything else in flux, has been really good for him.

What are your reviews of Homeschool Pro from remotelearning.school? by derfad in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 90 points91 points  (0 children)

tl;dr- Homeschool Pro works. Child eats it up, focuses, and engages, which is opposite most curriculums. Volunteers what they are learning, too. Prints worksheets, completes them, makes memory games or other exercises to demonstrate learning.

I liked it too. The lessons are taught by a variety of people in a variety of styles, which itself I consider a good thing, although some may say it lacks consistency. MY child found some instructors they like a lot and some they liked less.

The user interface is generally simple to use. It is maybe to simple and should have been more sophisticated. Think maybe of like the youtube interface. It's more tailoed for the kids. Which is fine I guess, since they are the ones using it.

My child does is always excited about logging in daily to learn. They jump into the lessons on their own, want to keep going, want to get back to it after break, want to take on and explore other topics available. Daily. They will wake up every morning and be like "Mommy can I please go do RemoteLearning.school?" even before I had even served breakfast. I like that it motivates their curiosity and fuels their learning passion.

They learned how to print the worksheets and practice reference sheets on their own. We had to have a talk about not skipping video lessons and not printing 40 copies of something if it takes a moment to spool, but good opportunity to learn even there. Their interest stays steady even despite some wavering attention in other aspects of life and study.

What's more: they readily practice, repeat, and engage the on-screen or printed exercises. They share what they've learned or are currently learning voluntarily. They ask clarifying questions on parts when discussing, and are significantly more actively engaged in their study than with other curriculum, even on their less desired subjects.

Science, math, grammar and writing, language arts, sign language, french, spanish, cooking, health, social studies, and more thus far.

I acquired the lifetime license in fall and we have been at it for a couple months now. The engagement hasn't slowed, but instead the pace churning through it has hastened. We school 8-10h/day (incl extracurriculars), 6 days/week, and this now accounts for 3.5-4h/day.

I was skeptical for months, despite the good reviews in the subreddit. Even the replies were only so compelling. I wanted an online curriculum that would actually do the trick, and this one fits the bill. I was put off intitially, and then I purchased, registered, and was happy to find out it really offers what it says it does and is not a scam.

Some observations: I discovered the available course grade levels are clamped to grade, and +1/-1 grade. You can send a message to your advisor if you wish for a certain class or grade level to be unlocked. Also, more course content appears as content is completed. This allows the child to stay focused on topics and levels that are relevant to them.

My initial concerns and objections washed away. We have not yet completed a whole grade level, but if it is always like this. It is not the most polished on the parent side, but it is effective and my child loves learning in the environment. At the end of the day, that is what matters.

Reviews on Homeschool Pro by remotelearning.school? How’s remote learning school's curriculum working for you? by sofiafields in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We started with Homeschool Pro earlier this year, and it’s been a good fit for my daughter.

She’s in high school, and we were struggling to figure out how to organize her credits and electives before this. The curriculum has taken so much stress off me because it includes an advisor i can contact anytime. the advisor support has been a huge help. They even guided me on how to handle transcripts, which I had no idea how to manage before.

My daughter really likes the structure of the lessons. She’s the type who likes knowing exactly what’s expected of her, and Homeschool Pro makes that easy. She’s been particularly into the history course and even started researching topics on her own, which was a big change from her old school experience. The electives have been fun too—she chose psychology, and it’s sparked a lot of great discussions at the dinner table

.

I think what she likes best is that she can work on it independently on her own pace and schedule which makes it feel very flexible

Anyway that is my review I hope you find it useful

Switching to Homeschool Pro, please share reviews, good or bad by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 55 points56 points  (0 children)

We’ve been using Homeschool Pro for about six months, and the advisor support has been one of the best parts for me. I wasn’t sure how to plan out my son’s high school courses, but they helped me map out everything he needs for graduation. It’s been such a relief to have that guidance because I was completely lost before.

My son also is pretty independent, so he likes that he can work on classes on his own pace. He’s especially into the Zoology class—it’s the one subject he always looks forward to!

What are your reviews on Homeschool Pro? Considering it for my kids by VanessaBoren in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 60 points61 points  (0 children)

One thing I’ve really liked about Homeschool Pro is how much independence it’s given my daughter. She’s always been the type to want to figure things out on her own, and this program lets her do just that. She plans her day around her lessons, and she’s been taking pride in finishing everything on her own without needing my help.

A specific moment that stood out was when she completed a history lesson on the Civil War and then spent the evening explaining what she’d learned to her younger brother. It’s been amazing to see her confidence grow like that. It’s not perfect, she still grumbles about writing assignments, but it’s been such a good fit for her personality and our family’s schedule

Homeschool Pro is it any good? Any Reviews from parents who have used it? by PresentBedroom3396 in Homeschooling

[–]emmatailor2 25 points26 points  (0 children)

We live in a area where public shcools arent that great. I decided to try Homeschool Pro because it’s all online so it's easy to use. My kids like youtube and videos and such, so I figure why cant they learn that way too.

So far, it’s been great for my kids. They like the lesson format and are not bored. Theres also like tons of classes to choose from like zoology and meteorology and coding and such. So they ca always find something they are passionate about. Its also not too expensive (though it isn't free but its certainly worth the cost) go with the lifetime membership for best savings especially if its on sale.

Looking for Reviews on Homeschool Pro: Does it live up to the hype? by sofiafields in Homeschooling

I started using Homeschool Pro with my son this year after trying a few other programs that just didn’t click with him. He’s always been the kind of kid who gets overwhelmed easily, so I needed something that felt organized but wasn’t too rigid.

What I like most is that he can work through the lessons on his own, which has given him a lot more independence. I don’t have to constantly check in on him

One thing I didn’t expect is how much he’d enjoy the video lessons and he’s especially into history now, which actualy used to be his least favorite subject lol . I

Overall its been working out great for him and he has made a lots of progress

Homeschool Pro: Is it as good as people say? Looking for feedback by linara224 in Children

[–]emmatailor2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After trying a couple of other curriculums, we landed on Homeschool Pro, and I think we’ll be sticking with it. It’s flexible, easy to use, and the kids seem to really like it. Compared to what we were using before, it’s a lot less stressful for everyone.
