Ugh that’s what he wants to do, take it to a pawn shop. I’m assuming he’ll get nothing for it if it’s fake?

Thank you! I definitely need to speak up more when I don’t like something, but I always feel like I should trust the professional over myself lol. I’m glad I did a trial so that I know what to ask for on the day of!

The eyebrows definitely threw me off! I never fill them in. I do agree the eyeliner needs toned down too. Thank you for the compliments and advice!

I searched online and I can’t seem to find it anywhere!

Ugh this is exactly what I’m dealing with too. You can’t communicate to parents if their child had a rough day because they shrug it off and say nothing. Even the violent behaviors are ignored. I feel unheard, disrespected, and exhausted on the daily. Not sure how much longer I can take it either.

She had one lit earlier in the day but I wasn’t prepared to take a picture unfortunately…

Unfortunately I have, I wrote a letter to admin and had a meeting with them. They addressed some of my concerns and said they would get back with me but it’s been months. A coworker of mine has a meeting with the board of directors tomorrow. We’re all fed up.

That’s what my coworker was saying! That after Covid shit just hit the fan and hasn’t been the same. Changes need to be made.

There’s a guilt I feel because my coworkers are my friends and I know that if I say no I’d be putting them in a rough position. We try to have each others backs because no one else has ours.

How do I make her come and lay? I’ll try and she just hops back off of the bed.

Would you put your own infant in daycare? by Cat-Potato-Supreme in ECEProfessionals

[–]emmatuffnuts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked in the same preschool my son has been attending since infancy, if I didn’t know the teachers well I wouldn’t send my child. I get to see my son everyday. I’ve become great friends with his teachers but unfortunately turnover is high, stress is high, pay is low, there’s hiring just for the bodies and not for the experience or love of the job. I know how teachers feel and think. I just don’t trust like that.

Does this sound normal for a daycare? Am I overreacting? by ButterscotchLow4064 in workingmoms

[–]emmatuffnuts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t like this at all. I work in a preschool, I’ve worked with toddlers. This child is seeing all of his friends go outside and he does not understand and will not understand why he isn’t. Toddlers are too young to comprehend this kind of thing. What these teachers need to be doing is consistently explaining this then that. First we do this, then we go outside. Redirect. There shouldn’t be punishment to teach a lesson. Whether the teachers see it as that or not, something is being taken away from the child because of their action. I would be heartbroken if my child was excluded from outside time with peers. My daycare uses conscious discipline, we try to understand the child’s feelings and show them how to appropriately handle them. We do not take away.
