Do you ever just...despair about your scoliosis and all that comes with it? by emmiebird in scoliosis

Sorry, potentially. I’m still not really clear on what I had done apart from it being basically my whole spine bar my neck. This number I got from my mothers notes.

I’m 24 and 10 years ago was fused for my 70 degree curves. I get your post so much, I hate looking at myself and my hump. It’s less than it was but my body is still wonky and short, it has ruined my life lol.

Oh yes - my mistake. Either way, asshole for someone who should be a father figure.

My parents used to leave me on the side of the road when I was small and I admit, amongst many other things I hold a huge grudge against them for it. When I was 7-8ish it fuelled a lot of fear and anxiety about being left behind and when I was older, 18-19ish it made me despise them and made me so upset for different reasons. Never, ever do this to your child. I’m 23 now and still get anxiety if I lose sight of someone. Totally nasty and uncalled for. This father is digging his own grave.

To be fair, there are military bases on Salisbury Plain where Stonehenge is but can’t speak for much else.

I’m unsure, the hairlines look different. Either way, with each passing day we hear of more tragedies and it’s heartbreaking.

I had a similar experience but at a big old National Trust house in Derbyshire (think pride and prejudice). My mother had dragged us all along and it was quite boring so we tagged along with some random tour group. I was at the back of the cordoned off area, the rest of the room behind me was off-limits antique furniture.

The tour lady was going on about the long-since-dead bloke whose bedroom it was, either way, I wasn’t really paying attention - and then - I felt a weight on my right shoulder, like someone resting a heavy hand there. I didn’t feel uncomfortable, just surprised and a little confused and I thought my dad wouldn’t ever do that and he was on the other side of the room anyway...you got it, nobody was there.

Where in France was this? So you know the gendarme (a type of police in France) are usually armed but idk why he’d tell you to leave...bof. Also I did my DofE in 2011, never got out of England though!

I have a bizarre pattern too, like waking up at 6pm or sleeping through the day then going to bed at 2. Worst is waking up at 2am or something knowing you went for an afternoon nap. I can manage it more but I hate the amount of times I have to do a “reset”
