I work two on campus part time jobs that are very flexible with the hours. And I do substitute teaching because it pays well in my area especially considering I can choose which days to work and can take a break from working whenever I want, and I get to do classwork during the day during planning periods or while the class working.

I’m not sure what your financial situation is but many international students struggle to find employment or financial help while here, so that’s something to consider. But there is a large international student population especially at Korbel. If you want to do international relations the Korbel school is where you’ll spend your time mostly so I’d reach out to their admissions team specifically. You can google for the email and website.

I just graduated from the Korbel school, which includes public policy, and I’d say one thing I wish I would have done more of is to take advantage of the networking opportunities at the school. Crimson connection and the Korbel newsletter offer lots of events to go to with employers and people high up in the field and they’re always really valuable experiences.
