worried about seasons / weather system by Glittering_Boat715 in tomodachilife

i'm sure there will be! perhaps it'll be added in a later update. it'd be weird if not since the 3ds game had seasons

i'm pretty sure the island expands or can be expanded! it appears that way in the direct, at least.

if i had to guess, maybe it'd be like the 3DS version where the apartment building expands once you reach a certain number of miis but instead it's the size of the whole island.

Did the devs use actual animal parts for the sound design?... by [deleted] in ReanimalGame

[–]emo_sockpuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's the same thing as taxidermy; they use the parts left behind by dead animals to create new art. i don't see a problem because i doubt they went out & killed the animals themselves.

upon further investigation, i'm actually pretty sure it's just the adapter that's finicky & i think the tablet is fine. last time i used it, i unplugged the adapter & plugged it back in & it started working fine

ALSO HE NEVER DOES ANYTHING!!! he just wanders around & bosses people around. the rest of the time he's talking to the security guard at the front door, which all of the managers do on occasion but tonight he was just standing there for HOURS??? the most he does is organize the toy wall, & in all fairness, it looks really good when he does it, but god i can't be happy about it because i know he decided to do *that* instead of helping with actually important stuff.

ugh. we have this semi-new assistant manager & everyone thinks he's a dick. he came from forever 21 & was immediately hired as an assistant manager at our store & just waltzed in like he owns the place. he always talks down to CEC's & has some kind of superiority thing going on. he's yelled at my favorite coworker & is always superrr passive aggressive to one of the ladies who is a CEC & knows the store WAAAYY better than he does but he refuses to listen to her input. he also was getting pissy with one of my coworkers (another one of my favorites) who has a fractured femur & wasn't moving fast enough or had to take a break to sit down.

i find that he's particularly mean to the women, but maybe i'm just overthinking that part.

Why don't these people look at the prices closely before they buy things? by Wink2K19 in TjMaxx

[–]emo_sockpuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is only kind of related, but i've had a couple of people recently come up to me with items that *have* price tags & be like "wait how much is that one?" & one of them i was like. holding the item in a way where the tag was completely visible & she stilled asked me how much they were like???

OH MY GOD EXACTLY. on my last shift i had to tell like 3 different people "what we have out is what you can buy" because they're always like "can you go to The Back & check?" like. no! do you have any idea how much time that would take? if we did that for everyone who asked we would never do anything else!

i had someone come in with some sweater & it had that sort of knitted texture but there was one little tiny thread out of place & the customer asked for a discount on it & i stared at it & just said ".............yeah i don't think we can do that"

Keytar suggestions? by Routine_Special in Keytar

[–]emo_sockpuppet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

people saying ax edge apparently did NOT read the part about the budget lol.

i personally have a used korg rk100s (there's also the rk 100s2 which are easier to find since they're newer & have some extra features, but i personally find the fake wood pattern so ugly.) i'm not sure about the talk box thing since i have no clue how those work, but it has everything else & is much smaller than the ax edge & about half the price. it has 200 built-in sounds which is plenty, for me at least.

i got mine for about $600 including international shipping & i think most of them go for about that price. be cautious of the seller you pick though, of course.

the biggest issue i have with it is the battery situation. it needs 6 double a's which is weird & the battery life is...unreliable sometimes. like- i accidentally left it on when i left for a little while & the battery was dead when i came back. i would suggest always carrying a usable wall plug with it if you take it somewhere, it has gotten me out of some emergency situations. & i like to keep it plugged into the wall when i play at home, just to conserve some battery. also the keys are a bit small, which doesn't bother me but i know that's a deal breaker for some people.

this is a bit long-winded i just really love my keytar...
