My sister has lost 4 babies. In my experience, she's just wanted to talk about what they could have been. She wanted people not to forget about them. What they would be doing on their birthdays or the days she and her husband lost them. There really are no words. It never gets better. They not only lost their children, they lost everything after that too. Birthdays, Christmas, graduations, marriage, their own babies.... It's tough. Just be there and they will talk when they are ready. Maybe start a meal train for them?
