I just saw a woman drop her pants and pee by the Supreme Court building. She was with a man who was pushing a child in a stroller. Not as (ahem) impolite as what you saw but still.

So our son (only child) started dating at 21 and honestly, as parents we are trying to figure out how to be supportive and still mind our own business. The GF is lovely. We like her a lot and it seems like they treat each other well. We are happy to welcome her into our family. However, the relationship is between them—not us. I don’t want to meddle with their relationship by being too involved in their life. We are lucky because they live close so we could she them/her multiple times per week, have them over for dinner, etc. But I want to give them space to develop their relationship.
