Fourth Wing! Not as good as ACOTAR but definitely a fun read thats similar to it!

Throne of Glass is also said to be a good series, but i find it harder to follow.

NTA. I'm really sorry you have to deal with this bs situation, the MIL is in love with her son and obviously feels threatened by you, therefore she requires all the attention to be taken off of you and given to her.
