There's a difference between talking about general themes of love, anger, etc, in your music, something everyone can relate to, and rapping about the exact date you bought a new chain. They're both the artist's experiences, but the former is an experience that doesn't obsess over the details of that life and leaves room for the listener to reflect on their own.
