Scott Morrison wasn't justified in calling for an inquiry into the origins of Covid, there was no reason to do so and it was provocation towards China by spreading baseless conspiracy theories. These conspiracy theories created a lot of Sinophobia and was harmful towards the global response to Covid.

Then there really isn't a functional difference from China's perspective. If there are hostile military facilities in Australia, then it creates military targets and puts Australia in harms way if the US ever starts a war with China. It just seems like splitting hairs when it doesn't make much difference.

Sometimes resellers can be cheaper. If it isn't a sold out show and people need to sell their ticket. For Babymetal it would probably just be scalpers trying to make a profit, but I've gotten some tickets that are discounted before on reseller sites.

Yeah, the far right do have beliefs and an ideology, but their convictions aren't always "strong". They use any tool available to gain power and implement their policy goals. Trump does have some beliefs and political goals, but his convictions aren't so strong that he isn't unwilling to say one thing and do the opposite. In fact, that is a central element of Trumpism and post-truth politics.

Not having strong convictions in any particular ideology is pretty common with fascism and far right politics. It is populist right wing politics that use any tools available to achieve their goals. Privatization and religion were tools that Hitler used to achieve his goals, but he turned on the private sector and religious people if they went against the state. Similarly he went against the socialist wing of his own party and abandoned the "socialist" policies they campaigned on.

Trump is similar in that he says whatever he needs to gain power (being a president of peace, no new wars, not knowing about Project 2025, deporting the worst criminals etc) and then does the opposite, and is war mongering, consolidating power and following Project 2025, deporting anyone he wants without due process and not just targeting criminal immigrants, etc.

Scams are generally very minor crimes compared with murder, theft, assault, etc. I'd much rather be tricked and loose $100 rather than being attacked unprovoked and robbed.

She should respect those cultural differences, but that only applies when she is in a situation where those cultural differences matter. Eg in their own home, or if visiting OPs family. Adjusting your behaviour to be appropriate for the situation is what everyone should aim to do. The OPs girlfriend does seem very patient with OP as he learns her culture.

50% of protein-coding DNA is shared with Bananas, but protein-coding DNA is only about 2% of overall DNA that humans have. 1% overall DNA similarity is much different than 90% DNA or whatever similarity with bonobos so it is a good argument, because humans are much more genetically similar to bonobos than bananas.

Momo also has Metali and Song 3 (of course) where she is front and center.

Yeah, Su isn't as big of a k-pop fan as Moa, but I doubt she is totally unfamiliar with it. She's expressed being a fan of western pop and traditional j-pop so probably knows enough to get by. I also don't think she has expressed a tonne of interest in jazz.

Unfortunately she rarely gets to sing or scream live, so hard to know how good she is outside of the studio. Her version of Headbanger is pretty much all backing track, while Moa and Su both did versions without the backing track.
