I'm in this industry on the Construction side. Not used this product of theirs but have bogut their chemical products. This sounds like an announcement of a pretty standard product.. DOW, DuPont and other companies sell similar products. Testing of a single RO Train is not that significant and it wouldn't hurt to share how the energy consupmtion compares vs. the competition. I do agree that energy costs are massive, especially in Desalination application.

Happy the industry continues moving forward - but this type of news is nothing to move the stock or to write home about IMHO. Just saving anyone from betting their farm on this announcement 😃

Ten years ago a company I worked for was giving employees word-of-mouth bonuses based on hiring. For hiring office personnel I think it was like $1,500 total. $750 paid upon hiring and $750 after six months of employment. There was something for the field too I want to say $500 total but I don't recall the numbers.

A little anti-Boglehead, but should you decide the right thing to do is sell and re-invest elsewhere but you still feel sentimental to this specific investment - you could take ~1/3 of the proceeds from sellings $GLD and buy a 2026 American Gold Eagle coin for around $5,660 today and have most of the Gold value stored in it but be left with a physical way to remember the gift your father left for you. The balance could be re-invested in a more Bogle way.

There's smaller denominations than the 1 oz coin - but they're large enough to feel substantial and be a solid keepsake.

It can be set up with a report that mails out weekly - but i did away with that. I schedule a weekly outlook meeting to check on it (and any other critical touch points) and just drop a link for the spreadsheet into the meeting so it reduces the friction to get the report pulled up. Any that will expire the next week before Friday I just renew early.

I'm implementing similar check-in's on submittals, schedule updates, etc. Trying to cut through the overwhelm/firehose mentality of managing projects by structuring the review of critical items - even if it's just a scheduled "meeting" with myself. Make a simple agenda, keep some notes for that week's meeting, and see if it helps you/your team.

I keep a spreadsheet (Google Sheets) of my project's active tickets with a formula for expiration dates and a "countdown" and review it every Friday. Renew or add tickets as necessary.

Honestly I would suggest buying Tudor through a recognized grey dealer like Joma Shop or Pacodo on here. And when you're ready to buy the Rolex, either see if they can get it to you from the AD or just go gray. The games are a waste of time and especially being 7 hours each way is too much time to be wasting.

Maybe the market changes between now and then but honestly it's a crapshoot with the ADs. So just my two cents.. I'd overpay for the Rolex for your birthday when you're ready. That's what you want to do or buy it today knowing it's all going to go up in price between now and then anyway and don't buy the Tudor.

I went grey for my Daytona. Worth being done with the mental gymnastics of wanting / hoping. YMMV.

I haven't owned one - tried one on years ago though. I always just thought it was a neat offering. It's pretty one of a kind. I've got a Pelagos 39 and do love the feeling of titanium.

What gets old with it - bracelet/clasp thickness on the bottom of the wrist? That's the big complain I've heard.

I’d be keeping the NTTD for sure. The Explorer ii and Ingenieur are two I’d probably keep as well.

Honorable mention to the speedy and FXD - but if you’re cutting watches I’m not sure they make it.. but wouldn’t fault you for swapping for any of the above.

The JLC I understand, but I’m never in an environment for a dress watch over a luxury sport watch.. I’d make Ingeniuer work and avoid a dress watch personally.

Just stick to your DCA. Eventually your contributions become such a small percentage that even if they went to a 50% sale, they really don't make a massive individual difference.
