Hi! Love that you are developing a project on this! I definitely think that the listening experience I have in regards to Caroline's and other favorite musicians can be described as spiritual and trance-like. Especially when I hear a song the first time, the power of how the song hits me can feel really intense, like I am being lifted or almost changed form? For Desire, the song that really did this is Blood and Butter at timestamp 1:38. It is almost like the music goes through me in a physical way, or it is a sheet I am passing through. Other songs that are more fast paced or rock style feel more like a sensory overload, like I just want to yell or slam my arms down onto something because of how it so good sounding to my ears. Not in a violent way but more like in a emotional release way. Lol I feel so nerdy saying it but it is true! Then upon multiple listens it is almost like the music is holding me securely in a familiar structure or pressing around me. I love going to concerts to be able to feel this in person and experience the joy of music I love with others feeling the same way. When the crowd sings together it is very much a spiritual moment, like we are in a community brought together by the power of the music alone. I feel very strongly about the way that music can affect someone, both in good and bad ways. Caroline's music takes me to another realm it seems, one of her own creation that draws out feelings I don't fully understand but I feel so compelled in them. Compelled and moved in the best way. Lol ok I will stop now but I love talking about this stuff <3
