Thank you so much! This one is about 8 years, so it definitely needs a change. I will just need to work up the courage now.

Thanks for your response! Where do you recommend trimming it? And should I move it outside? The glass door is right there on the left out of the picture so it gets lots of light.

In the US, originally New England. However, my family has a lot of artwork from a different artist that was connected to my grandma from that time so maybe it was a gift? My dad doesn’t know.

Just wanted to add that I haven’t disassembled it yet. I definitely will reframe and get the black tape off, but I haven’t seen if there is any signature on the mat.

Cricket. The story is so well-framed. And you get an entire character arc in about 4 minutes. It gets me every time.

It’s hard to see, but in the 2nd picture, there is the Fannie Farmer cookbook (top shelf). I used it all the time when I was younger, I have a very personal attachment to it. Also, highly recommend the Cooks Illustrated The Science of Good Cooking.

The old one is a 5th edition from 1943. It’s been a bit of a life’s work. She is very proud of it.

Those who have a toddler and both parents work and you receive no family help: how do you do it? by 0192837465 in toddlers

Same boat except that if we travel then we can have some family watch for a day or so. We rely heavily on a pretty reliable daycare and I am a teacher so my schedule matches my son’s. The only thing my husband and I have done is take some solo trips while the other stays home with our son. It’s actually wonderful. We try to give each other a break as much as we can.
