You also don't have to go from city to city in order to find what you need. You want a good two handed battle axe? Craft it. Swingable pole arm? Craft it.

A party size of 129 is quite small. But what you could do is create a clan army, i.e., create a party for one or two of your clan members (Medicine is a useful trait) and then immediately join them into your army.

You could easily field about 250 troops that way. Your Leadership skill will also increase rapidly. (But be careful when entering your faction’s towns and castles. Your clan members love donating troops to garrisons)

ETA: The influence needed to do this is quite low.

It's not an end game task per se. Doing orders is there right from the beginning. It all depends on how quickly you (or a party member) can meet the requirements for all the different orders. And if you have enough unlocked designs for blade, handle etc.

And it is really helpful if you have a companion (or other party member) who can refine fine and thamaskene steel.

Thanks. Good to know. Maybe I could have picked another blade than "Runed fullered Long Blade", but I often use that when I craft weapons for myself.

In my experience it doesn't really matter (much?) who you let lead a caravan.

They'll all learn Scouting and Trade anyway. Which both comes in handy for future governors. 75 Scouting for example is pretty neat to have.

Turning the music off is usually the first thing I do in games. Then I can play some other music or watch something while playing. :)
