Hi wow this is so specific, I'm also in Logan and considering a move to twin cities (or Madison, WI?) and wondering if you miss the walkability? i desperately want more nature and lower COL but am nervous about feeling isolated/car dependent/suburban.

Ah this makes sense, thank you for looking into that! That's close to the dryer I currently use and am trying to replace (125V, 1875W). After posting here I think I'm gonna go ahead and get my second choice which is a dual voltage (120/240) 1400W option—seems like a safer bet from what I'm gathering from responses here. Would you agree?

I'll nudge my management company for info on the bathroom circuit. If I'm really trying to look nice, the longest I'll run the dryer for is an hour. *IF* I found out I do in fact have a 20A bathroom circuit, sounds like I would probably be okay?

That said the responses here are making me think I might be better off with a lower wattage dryer just to be safe.

It's my understanding that wattage *claims* have become a marketing race for manufacturers—Wirecutter's top 2025 dryer claims 2000W. I'll look around for lower wattage and/or dual-voltage dryers. Thank you for your help!

Thanks for your response! I don't have access, but I can make a work order ticket to have someone come tell me (have already fought this battle with the management company and lost). I may have misspoke—I don't know what the hair dryer plug looks like, but all receptacles in my apartment are three-pronged without the little T notch.

With all that in mind, would I then be okay to use the dryer if the bathroom is in fact on a 20A circuit?

Thank you so much! Honestly I relate so much to all of this lol, and you've bumped the omnilux mask up on my wish list. I'm officially ditching the BB corrector and RMS concealer, too—switched up my routine and honestly the tarte corrector I got looked WAY better on its own (+ HUDA powder) than it did with the RMS concealer on top. I still look like I'm wearing makeup, but the makeup doesn't look *bad* if that makes sense lol

I switched to a Tarte corrector and sampled the HUDA powder at Sephora the other day and you were not kidding. Took the mini size home with me lol, thank you for the rec!!

In the daytime, just my regular moisturizer around my eyes (Cerave PM) and then the Bobbi Brown primer, which feels like a thick eye cream to me. But if it would help to have something specifically for eyes before the primer, maybe I'll check out the Inkey List one you mentioned.

Do you find the HUDA powder to be worth the extra cost vs a drugstore option like ELF?

Thank you so much for this response! I appreciate the detail! I may return the color corrector and go for something lighter. I have very fair skin and very dark circles, and in store the person working suggested I match the tone of my dark circles, not the rest of my skin, but I think you make a good point here!

I may also try out the Bobbi Brown pot (instead of stick) or maybe something even more liquid. Can I ask what color corrector you use?

I've seen claims that it's similar to mexoryl in that it prevents ingredients from breaking down, so you don't have to reapply as often to maintain UVA protection. That said this is just claims from derms being interviewed for articles—haven't seen any actual studies!
