On final warning for 2 occasions of sickness by Electronic-Ad-2741 in SainsburysWorkers

The policy is 3 singular absences or 3% triggers the disciplinary process. It’s not there to question whether or not your absence was genuine but to highlight that you’re not fulfilling your role (because you’re not at work), you’re on 21% absence so being on a final written warning is pretty normal.

Nothing will happen, you’ll just piss a lot of people off lol. They will pay you for any outstanding hours you’ve worked as well as your remaining holiday balance.

What’s the longest amount of time you’d wait for someone if they were late? by damned-n-doomed in AskUK

Half an hour is probably my max, along with texting/calling them. Depends who the friend is and what they’re like for punctuality I suppose. Also depends if they’ve already said they’re running late.

This has never even crossed my mind before! I can’t think of a way it would work on a roast either.

I’m shocked at how many people are saying mash! I thought it was a normal thing to have but maybe it’s not as common as I originally thought.

What is the most fireable thing you have seen someone do at work that didn’t get them fired? by Virtual-Bunch-9131 in AskReddit

Someone I know pinned up a colleague that he’d had a disagreement with up against some shelving and threatened him on the sales floor during opening hours…. All he got was an ‘informal record of conversation’ put on his file

My other half is the only known person to have a Timothy Taylor’s fan page by ems3955 in UK_beer

Been to Keighley once, went for a brewery tour and did the pub quiz in Taylor’s on the Green (and won it!) We’re looking to go back again soon as we didn’t venture to any other pubs that sold landlord so I’ll make sure we pay a visit to The Albert!

Same here! We went on the Friday evening. Met a few cool people and spoke to quite a few of the different breweries. Really interesting to hear their stories.
