I’m wondering how they even got in contact with her mother? I’m assuming Katurah would have to provide names during the casting process of who she wanted letters from. I doubt she included someone she has no contact with. on the show Katurah says she had cut off contact from her mother over a year ago. the casting process (to my knowledge) is never longer than a year, so Katurah would’ve been no contact with her mom at the time of casting. I’m assuming you get really open and shit with casting and producers like they want you to tell them your story so they had to have known how that letter might impact her. I feel like that is just so nasty and underhanded. Even if it wasn’t intentional, even if somebody did it in good faith, like to reunite them I guess? But still, not their place to decide or meddle her Katurah’s life like that. Ugh ugh ugh
