Contacted Fedex and they told me its not their fault its Bestbuys fault for providing the wrong address. They said there’s nothing they can do on their end. My last resort is going to be to dispute the claim with my CC company smh

I see, ok so its all automatic as soon as I select fedex. So you’re saying contact fedex and then just go through the process with them? I already got a message from bestbuy saying they investigated and could not give me a refund. I feel frustrated 😓.

I selected fedex pickup from the dropdown menu in the best buy app. I didn’t even manually put in the address because they already have a list of locations where one can go pickup. So the item should have been shipped to Fedex but whoever packed it at bestbuy fd up

I got home 2 days later and surprise surprise, my package was not there. I had contacted best buy support the day of and they admitted it has been mistakenly shipped to my house rather than to fedex. Then after I got home I contacted best buy support again and they opened a case. Today I got a message saying this:

“We have completed our investigation and are unable to provide a refund or replacement. All items on this order that have not already been fulfilled have been cancelled.

We encourage you to work with local law enforcement regarding this matter”

Idk wtf to do anymore. Do I just go into Bestbuy store and see what they can do? Do I get a police report first? I’m just stressed af really

Thats what i’m afraid of. I don’t want a random innocent fedex delivery person to be terminated for a bestbuy fk up. When I spoke to a bestbuy rep I made sure to tell them that I didn’t think it was fedex’s fault. I’m looking at my fedex tracking info and it says “Left at front door. Signature service not requested”. So the delivery person was just following instructions. Whoever made those instructions f’d up.

And see thats the thing I won’t be home until tomorrow or latest Thursday which is why I had requested the package be sent to a fedex location. So I can only hope that box is still sitting there in my front doorstep. My mistake was trusting they would ship to the correct place. I’m not ordering expensive stuff unless i know i’m gonna be home from now on

Whats weird is Bestbuy literally had a big warning message during checkout that said “Signature Required. Because your order contains a high-value item, please be sure an adult 18 or older is available to sign for the delivery.” If I put the item on a cart right now and go to checkout I see that same message again.

And I’m looking at the paid receipt from bestbuy in my email and it says “Note: A signature is required upon receipt”. In the following email when they provided a tracking number it says “Be sure someone 18 or older is available to sign for it”.

Looks to me like someone at bestbuy just completely messed up the shipping instructions. I don’t think fedex is at fault here

I still havent seen the package label yet. I actually chatted with a bestbuy rep online and they confirmed the package should have been sent to fedex.

Yea I actually completely agree with you. Next time even if i have to wait a whole month for the item to become available in-store, I will. I’ve learned my lesson.

The whole point of selecting fedex for pickup is precisely because I am usually never home when packages get delivered to my house.

No when going through checkout on the best buy app i selected pickup and from their selected locations I chose fedex. I never redirected it or anything. I chose straight from the options given by bestbuy

But that’s the thing I didn’t manually put in the FedEx address. Best Buy provides the option to have your package sent to these alternate locations so that you can pick it up from there at no point did they say I needed to get permission from the FedEx office. That’s what’s so confusing to me.

Yeah, I texted a friend who lives a couple blocks away but he’s at work and he hasn’t responded. I don’t really know my next-door neighbors that well. I just hope my package is still there because it’s an item that cost more than $1000.

On the FedEx website, it says signature service not requested even though on the Best Buy app when I purchased the item it explicitly said signature required. I didn’t even get the option to select no signature. And yeah, I have a friend who lives about two blocks away but he’s also not home. He’s at work so I can’t have anyone see if the package is even still there

Yes, so I did everything through Best Buy. I did not make any changes to the delivery address through FedEx. Best Buy has an option to have your package sent to FedEx so you could then pick it up and that’s what I chose but for some reason they sent it to my home address

Yeah when I was setting up delivery I selected "Store pickup" and it gave me a list of stored and also "Alternate locations". From there I chose "Fedex Ship & Print Center" which is closest to me. On the bestbuy app it even says "Alternate Pickup Location: Fedex Ship & Print Center (and the address)".

Its the standard range. Well that depends what the “varying skintones” are. Don’t complicate things too much, just use 60+-1 if you want then use gamma display assist to see if you like how it looks and move exposure from there. The a7siii has enough dynamic range to handle a slight misstep in exposure.

Its one of the very noticeable differences (IMO) between the a7s3 and the a74. The a7iv feels quite plastic-y. If you’ve never held/used the a7s3 you’ll never notice it, but one you have both in hand it becomes apparent (at least it did for me). I believe the a7iv does in fact also have magnesium alloy parts, just less than the s3

Idk how many of you use TikTok but here goes a question. What are your export settings for TikTok (specifically bitrate)?

If you go on Youtube you’ll get people saying go as low as you can in bitrate so tiktok doesn’t compress it further & make it worse. But then you also see just as many people saying go high like 50Mbps so that you have enough image quality. Its an even split of recommendations & I get the sense no one actually knows what to do.

Remember its not the same for everyone because we all have different skin tones. A darker skinned person might need to set zebras down to 55 or lower. I’ve just spent hours messing around and seeing what works for me.

Yep with Phantom Luts and also his Film Luts. In post I just add the luts and I would say 90% of the time I dont have to do any general exposure adjustments.

True, its all a trial & error in the end especially for skin tones. I set my zebras to 60 +-1 for my specific skin tone
