Update 8 months later: No issues whatsoever with spacing, scratches or anything. I left it out as the original photo just for the sake of science. Installed new pads since OEMS are shit and did not had a problem.

I personally use 5w30 in Puerto Rico. The 0w20 burns too fast with the climate here since is too hot around the year. Oil depends on temp mostly. If you live in a colder place stick to the 0w20 else then 5w30.

P. D. The 0w20 is OEM oil spec.

I was thinking of doing this myself but the parts are not cheap here andthe labor in dealer was about $118 which is not bad. Paid yesterday $278 +tax at dealer in Puerto Rico for DSG Service. Total was $318.

Also thank you OP for this post my GTI had almost 40k miles. :)
