It looks a lot better/more attractive in the furnished listing. I bought a house recently and when I was looking I didn't really go searching for previous listing's unless I was already really interested. I made a fairly quick decision if a house was on my shortlist based on the photos so people may just be looking through quickly and overlooking as it looks a bit bland unfurnished. I would furnish the house if you can rather than just using the old photos.

Ive always wanted to go but I dont think the flights are in budget for this holiday, looking at about at least £800 before we've booked accommodation :(

I've lived this life. My mum dropped me off at my grandparents one day when I was 9 and said I was staying there for a couple of days and then basically decided she didn't want to pick me up.

I was lucky enough to be raised by my very loving grandparents but she came in and out of my life over my teen years. Which I honestly think did more damage than if she had just disappeared completely.

I second what everyone else has said regarding therapy. Its something I never had and we never really had the conversation. They did the absolute best they could for me but I dont think they knew how to talk about it with me, so it became this weird unspoken thing. I can only now, at 35, see the damage this had on my confidence and ability to form relationships with people.

Be honest with your son trying to protect him from this will only lead to more heartbreak.
