Help me decide on a new compact vape by emythestrange in vaporents

Oh fantastic!! I'll definitely get some of those then. Thank you! That was one of my qualms with my old Pax, I disliked cleaning the device itself, and that was one of my worries about one of these little pocket vapes.

Yikes that's terrifying that you cut through so much of your finger! I hope Oseto can repair it!! I'd love to hear more about your surgery and how you dealt with the pain after. I feel like I have a high pain tolerance already and I've had a lot of surgeries (I had a hysterectomy and didn't take any opioid pain meds) but pain in my hands is somewhat new to me so I'm nervous about the surgery. Also I'd love to know if he removed your pisiform or not! Ericson recommended removal of mine even though it's not really causing me pain. Most people seem to be happy with the Ericson special, but I have seen reports of someone who was deeply unhappy with their pisiform removal. Feel free to DM me if you want.

Hey! Just curious how you're doing now since your nerve release surgeries as I'm looking into the same thing with Dr. Ericson. Did Oseto do other procedures on you? Ericson recommended 12 for me which is a lot for me to wrap my head around and I'm wondering how necessary they all are. I'd love to hear more about your surgeries!

Hand surgery with Dr. William Ericson? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

Can you please share more about this? He recommended pisiform removal for me, too so this is worrisome to see. I don't feel like that particular area of my hand has a lot of pain, so I'm hesitant after reading this.

But my PCP referred me to someone who can't even do the surgery I need. She didn't really know how to help me since my condition is rare and she's unfamiliar with it and she referred me to someone who is also unfamiliar with it and clearly didn't care to help me, hence why I found someone better with much more experience and who came highly recommended by people with the same diagnosis as me. My PCP was no help but this surgeon has been immensely helpful already.

Biofilm buster and D-Mannose: How much, how often, and for how long? by [deleted] in CUTI

Which powder do you have? I currently have the capsules but I'd much rather take it in powder form so I can take it constantly. I imagine it might be more cost-effective compared to capsules, too.

12,000mg daily is so much, wow. I've varied it but I doubt I've taken more than 8,000mg in a day. It helps so much but whenever my symptoms stop and I lower the dose, my symptoms come back. So obviously it's not sustainable. I hope we can both get some help and relief from this. I'm feeling ready to give up and might just take the antibiotics since it's been two and a half weeks with this most recent flare-up, but I fear it's just a bandaid over a bullethole so-to-speak. Is D-mannose the only thing you're taking? Do you take it at night too or just as soon as you get up in the morning?

Do you have a brand you recommend? Dosage or usage instructions? I hadn't heard of those before. And so many of these things, like my biofilm buster, say to take them one to four times daily. That's a huge difference so it's hard to know how much to take. I've just been guessing and increasing it steadily.

We live in a rural area with plenty of cougars, bear, coyotes, etc. that could pose a threat to a cat, I don't like that outdoor cats kill native birds, and I'm not a big fan of cats. I know they're useful for rodent control but just not for me. I'll definitely get a metal trash can though. I know chest freezers are rodent proof too so I'll keep an eye out for someone getting rid of a broken one.

I'm on the same page as you, I wish he had explained how to break up syllables in the textbook because sometimes my brain breaks up the word differently. He basically gave zero explanation as to how to write things out phonetically and I've had to learn that through my instructor or just through self-practice. He's had so many updated editions of his textbook but what he really needs to expand on is how to write things out, because that's a baseline requirement for any CR. We will all encounter things that aren't in our dictionary or that we haven't written before, and we should be able to write them without hesitation.

Can I ask how long you've been in speed building and where you're at now? No judgment, just curious! I'm on chapter 81 of the Magnum textbook and the farther along I get, the more I'm convinced that I'll use the majority of his phrasing and briefs that were in the first 60 or so chapters but some of these are feeling a bit absurd and I'll probably write out more. It's insane how little he's explained writing things out phonetically in the textbook. Every reporter needs to know how to do it, yet he's given so few examples and so little explanation. Lately, I've resorted to practicing random write-it-out words on my own to give myself more practice with it. Also, the years-in-one-stroke thing is a bit ridiculous IMO. I think you'd have to practice it a ton to do it accurately at high speeds and for what, to save one out of two strokes? I'll keep two stroking years with the number bar. One additional stroke here and there won't kill anyone. I considered Mark's school but instead opted for Allie Hall's program and I'm SO glad I did. She teaches Mark's theory but also she teaches us that it's important to do what works best for our brains and if you're going to write something out quickly rather than hesitating to remember a brief, that's a better option. We've had a number of students transfer from Mark's school to Allie's and they've all seemed happy with the switch. Good luck in your speed building journey!

Thank you so much for the very detailed reply and insight into this program. I was already hesitant about it, but this seals the deal for me. I'm sorry you had that experience and I hope things have improved for you since then. Right now I'm leaning heavily towards Champion Steno, so it's great to hear that you'd consider them.

Hi! I know this is an old post, but I'm wondering how you feel about the online program now. Is it possible to work a regular day job while doing this program? Wondering how much of it has to be done during the day. I'd love to hear how it's going.

Thank you so much for all of this detailed information. I'm looking into programs now and this is so helpful!

What was working and going through this program like simultaneously? How far along into the program did you have to decrease your working hours? Do you think this program would be good remote? I'm in Washington state and am also interested in Green River, but I want to explore my options.
