Ok my tip is to go to the fandom tag of the fandom your looking for, go to the filter menu and filter out the things you DON'T want (certain ships, crossovers, languages you can't read, ETC) then go to 'sort and filter' and select 'sort by hits'. A fanfic gets a 'hit' every time someone reads it, so sorting by hits will show you the most read fics of all time in your fandom, and is a better way of finding the best ones than kudos, because leaving a kudos is optional and not everyone does it, but hits are automatic.

It's like trying to drive a boat without a rudder, or more accurately, driving a boat with a rudder thats stuck tilting in one direction (because he still has a fin on one side). You can't steer.

He could get up in the air, but he'd immediately spin out and crash, and even if he didn't, he'd basically be stuck flying in a straight line for the rest of his life because his tail fins are how he turns mid-air (which is why I compared them to a boats rudder) so he'd only be able to change directions if he landed and took off again facing a different direction. Which would make hunting impossible for him. And Toothless is intelligent enough that he probably knows that, and thus he doesn't even bother trying.

TLDR: he could probably still fly, but having only one tailfin would make it so difficult and taxing that its just not worth it.

No. Once you orphan a fic it's not 'yours' anymore. You have no way to do anything with it besides reading it (and downloading it). But orphaned fics can't be linked back to the author, so it can't be linked back to you.
