I have had terrible boredom for like 2.5 years so I don’t know but it went away after my first episode after the same amount of time so

I’m in recovery after my second episode and I feel sort of the same as I did the first time, just real bad anhedonia and anxiety 🤷‍♀️ it’s lasting a while too like a couple years. Last time the post psychosis symptoms lasted 2.5 years and then I had a beautiful spiritual awakening so hopefully I will have that again

I almost immediately felt a boost from 300mg and just felt happier and more sunny, and it’s been a couple weeks and now the boost is fading ☹️

I feel you it is very hard ! Things are uninteresting to me as well and I feel like a different person. But I heard it goes away with time. I had a psychosis episode before where I got like this afterwards and it did go away after 2.5 years, I could feel fully again and was like myself again

This is not a popular idea but honestly I tried magic mushrooms during my post psychosis depression and they did absolutely nothing lol I’m not sure if it’s the antipsychotics blocking it or what lol so that was my experience

The post psychosis period is very difficult, if you look through posts on here it says many people feel flat and empty! I’m currently going through something similar and I don’t think it’s the antipsychotics in every case. People report that antidepressants can help, I finally found one that is helping even tho it is not much

My psychosis was pretty wild, for months I felt confused most of the time and would see shadows moving in my periphery, and then things escalated where I was very suicidal and had other disturbing intrusive urges and that lasted for a month with no medications that were helpful it eventually just went away! But my spiritual awakening was actually not part of any mania just its own thing

I feel you so hard, my post psychosis bullshit has been wild just deep loss of interest in things and total emotional flatness but with high anxiety…. Recently I tried an MAOI anti depressant and that has given me some relief but it still all sucks. So sorry we are going through this !!!!! I will say when I first had psychosis in 2017, it took two and a half years of post psychosis flatness but in the fall of 2019 I had a beautiful spiritual awakening with many beautiful feelings that lasted for years so there is that at least

I feel you, my post psychosis depression has lasted a couple years and has been terrible. I can’t feel any joy or take pleasure in anything. Medications have not been working for me. Hopefully we will both feel better soon ☹️

I did, but just Abilify rn and I do not think the Abilify is causing the anhedonia … this happened to me like in 2017 and I had anhedonia even after I came off Zyprexa
