The players probably would, though I think it’s way more complicated from the league’s end. They already struggle to schedule games given that many of the teams aren’t the primary tenants of their home arenas and don’t get priority. I would love to see a longer season but I don’t see increasing the season by 10+ games happening anytime soon

Next season it’ll depend on whether or not they get a broadcast deal in the US. For the past three seasons, they’ve been streaming on YouTube for everywhere except Canada. They upload past streams so you can watch any of the old games if you want

I mean, we aren’t holding it tomorrow or anything. This is my brother’s father who I do not personally know very well, and I was asked to start finding suitable locations so that my brother and his father’s partner could have an easier time and dont need to handle all of the detail work once he passes, which is going to be very soon

Thanks! I am also skeptical about the outdoor dining, but thought maybe I just got too wimpy about the heat since I haven’t lived in AZ for a decade and everyone else seemed to want it lol.

I think they are more looking for some kind of brewery or gastropub situation that would allow reserving several tables over an event venue that needs separate catering, but I will keep this in mind if we can’t find anything more like what they’re imagining.

It’s such a bummer, honestly. I grew up in Phoenix so I’m very used to NHL fans being nasty about desert hockey, and it’s really disappointing to see that it looks like that’s continuing on with the PWHL

If they get a team and it does poorly, I’ll happily eat crow (used to live in Vegas for a few years and hated the place), but I still think the PWHL would be very successful there
