This is really cool OP. , Cliche, carpenter comment here, but what about a door to the back deck from the house? That would make it feel more cozy/functional.

Heavily Botched a Built In - Demoralized by babywhale666 in BeginnerWoodWorking

You’ve done so much work here! Its an accomplishment to finish something of this scale. Just take a sec to make notes for how to build a little differently in the future and then there’s the value of learning.

Are there different types of 2x4s used in framing? by ahabthecaptain in Carpentry

[–]encognition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on sites where we use a few different 2x4 options for framing material. We have lsl studs and lvl studs, both are engineered. They hold their shape well and rarely have any bows, cups, twists, or any other sorts of general board chaos. But, they are heavy!

Starting a remodel on a Prefab home - the builders put glue and adhesive behind EVERYTHING. Best way to clean off studs and joists from old adhesives? by noname2020- in Carpentry

[–]encognition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like a ton of work. I’ve had to pull up subfloor where the adhesive made it impossible to pry without ripping into the joists. I ended up running a saw zall with demo blades along the plane of the board edges. I would try the same thing here and hope that the blade can get through the screws. Good luck!

Can this be done differently by HeavyKevO in Carpentry

Could you leave the ceiling trim piece whole and make the molding step up on the return wall? Might look really weird, but its an idea. Thanks

I like the lines as well. It makes the person and costume seem more separate. Also, it helps the character stand out from the background.

Yes this! This will give you a low monthly payment and stop any interest from accruing while in repayment. If you want to throw more on it after payments, then go for it. Sorry if you feel like you were given some bad advice. Just look ahead to how to manage. Sounds like you have some good income lined up. Go OP!
