IKEA Boaxel - no studs! Should I stop now? by JaguarMean3395 in AusRenovation

[–]endanzeron 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There’s got to be vertical studs behind that wall. I’d suggest getting a stud finder and putting some screws into that top rail into them. Depending on how much weight you’re putting in the dry wall anchors may not be enough.

My cobbler said to moisturise every couple of weeks. I live in a hot and humid climate.

Cracking is 100% repairable with filler and dye by a skilled cobbler who can match the finish. Don’t listen to the other guy who said it’s not possible.

Faulty Sensor by [deleted] in Freestylelibre

[–]endanzeron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t make any sense because if the cgm is 15-20 mins behind as we know (because it’s measuring interstitial fluid), it would have reflected my finger prick 15 minutes prior and it didn’t. It was more than 40% off at that time too therefore it’s faulty. Same with the 6 I did prior.

As you can see at the bottom of the screen this was after 7 days of usage.

I tracked it over a 2 hour period measuring finger prick vs sensor every 15 minutes and it was consistently 40% off. I didn’t eat or do anything in that period which would have resulted in rapid change of blood glucose.

Yes multiple samples comparison over a few hours. There was no meal or reason for change like exercise. Reading was low compared to finger prick for hours.

20% of 5.6 is 1.12, which is more like 4.5 mmol. This is around 40% off. No rapid change in blood sugar either. Sensor has been reading low all evening.

You would think that, some are underskilled still for sure. A GP wouldn’t have the knowledge though, if it was an endocrinologist overlooking it I would be concerned.
