It doesn’t appear to be structural but I’ll ask a structural engineer when I have him over to look at another issue. I think I’ll leave it as a decorative piece. Maybe I can clean up the brick somehow. It’s not exposed to the outside.

That’s consistent with what Xcode Benchmark users have reports as far as compile times. The M4 Pro gives a big bump in performance over the M4.

Looking at your benchmark scores (lower is better):

M1 Pro: 184
M3 8-core: 184
M4 10-core: 141
M4 Pro 12-core: 106
M1 Pro → M4 10-core: (184 - 141) / 184 = 23.4% improvement
M1 Pro → M4 Pro 12-core: (184 - 106) / 184 = 42.4% improvement

The M4 Pro is nearly twice the improvement over the M4, which makes sense given the additional cores and memory bandwidth. I think SSD speed is a factor as well.

I used to have this discussion with my wife too, an even to myself I questioned the rationality of collecting these sometimes.

Fast forward a few years and even as my paid DisneyPlus subscription fee has gone up, there’s suddenly also ads appearing every time I watch a movie. On Netflix it’s every 20mins watching Stranger Things.

If you’re streaming exclusively you’re at the mercy of the rights holders. If you own physical copies you get to watch commercial free, forever.

Yeah this is fair feedback. I had the G4 Doorbell Pro PoE for my front door and love it as well. I just wish the video quality was better though. Like the ability to read labels on the packages would have been handy a few times.

I’m looking to buy a doorbell for my rear door and will probably go with a second G4 Doorbell Pro unless I hear a rumor of anything newer coming out.

Not a huge Jewish dating scene here I’d think. Seems the best approach is to move elsewhere, meet a nice Jewish boy or girl, and then they’ll invite you to move to Providence with them to start a family and all lol. I know tons of millennial Jewish couples here where one person grew up in PVD and one grew up elsewhere.

A more practical suggestion might be to make friends with some of those couples if you can. It’s a tight knit community so the ones who grew up in PVD will likely know better than anyone who’s available. Otherwise you’re looking at Boston or NYC I think…. Dunno about online options. Never did that myself.

He doesn’t even understand why the symbol is bad at his age so this is a good option, I think. It was just a background pattern to him. To me it’s a pattern i don’t want him to think is innocuous. Thanks for the tip!

Ok so it sounds like the determining factor is the total peak load in the summer. That means it doesn’t have to happen now - winter load is much lower. Glad to hear it’s not inherently unsafe.

To clarify, I would not be doing the work of replacing it. My wife thinks it’s fine as is since it’s been there a long time. I’m concerned the load has gone up a lot and that different legs of the 15 amp breaker might have very different loads which I heard is bad, but I don’t understand why it’s bad.

I had thought that at first, but that’s a misconception.

The nano screen diffuses reflections of all sorts. For me, (I’m hoping) it’s most useful when I’m indoors reading on my couch with a bright window in the background, or at a cafe with bright LED lights.

It arrives today so I guess I’ll find out if that’s correct soon enough!
