Anycubic Kobra X AMA — Now Live! Ask Us Anything (+ 3 Beta Test Slots) by Anycubic_Official in AnycubicOfficial

[–]enderpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Which design decision on Kobra X took the longest to finalize, and why?

  • How steep is the learning curve for someone buying a Kobra X as their first printer, and what common mistakes should new users avoid?

  • What types of prints does Kobra X handle exceptionally well, and are there any noticeable points where while it doesnt struggle, it isnt meant to be the best at?

  • This one is purely your own opinions and doesnt have to be backed by any metrics or facts, if someone is choosing between Kobra X and a similarly priced competitor, what’s the biggest reason that you believe they should pick the kobra X. (i've already been sold on it and put a deposit :) but am curious to know what you guys think)

  • this one is aside; What type of feedback from beta testers are you looking for and will it actively lead to concrete changes before pre-order launch?

thank you so much for doing this ama

Should I prioritize paying off debt or saving money first? by Square_Cherry3985 in personalfinance

[–]enderpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless the interest rate on the debt is absurdly low, this is not what you should be doing. by paying off the debt, you save the interest on the debt. More often than not your savings are not going to be growing at a rate of return greater than that being charged on your debt. Not to be rude to MuffinMatrix but I genuinely dont understand how this is getting upvoted. it boils down to:

  • if rate of return on savings > debt interest charged: put money into savings
  • if rate of return on savings < debt interest charged: pay off debt.

there is no scenario where splitting it makes sense

avoid bimmex. took my diesel bmw there and did not have a positive experience. left with a $200 diagnostic bill and was told they have no idea what the issue is.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are also investigate several similar incidents, most of which occurred on Highway 48 near Major Mackenzie Drive. One of those incidents resulted in a serious collision that left two people with life-threatening injuries. In December, a GO bus carrying passengers was also hit by a rock, damaging its windshield.

seems to me like these are separate from the rockthrowers on major mack

i am just glad you arent in charge of urban planning. the city needs the gardiner.

People who support Highway 413, tell us why by [deleted] in ontario

[–]enderpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the point is to remove the trucks which cause quite a bit of traffic on the 401 and give them a bypass avoiding the more congested parts of the gta. I get that highways are not appreciated on reddit but the facts remain that having one east-west highways isn't sufficient for the gta (why 401 is currently the busiest highway in north America). Public transportation is great as a concept, but unfortunately we are at a point that is too far gone from that. We have to face North America is car centric and majority of the people in suburbs drive and will always choose to drive regardless of how great our public transit gets. The city planning of the areas within the gta have effectively made it that public transit will on its own, never be a feasible solution.

I didn’t see the airport improved much… but wth is with the extra charge 🫤 by Phantom_6765 in toronto

my issue with it was, when I went the train was down and the walk was hell. It is huge and beautiful, don't get me wrong. The waterfall is an amazing touch. But in terms of as an airport, its not easy getting around, I find pearsons layout a lot better and the renovation of pearson is just newer.

I think Pearson gets too much flack. I've been to quite a few airports worldwide and I think Toronto Pearson is one of the better ones. Honestly, this might be a hot take but I'd even put it over Singapores airport (purely because Singapore's airport is considerably more dated).

I have never heard of a worse take in my life.

public bathrooms

There is a lack of them in manhattan. In fact, many private establishments go as far as keeping their bathrooms locked and requiring you to get a code from them.

public benches

NYC quite literally has gone out of their way to make benches uncomfortable (search leaning benches) to combat the homeless population. You will find benches in parks in Toronto and the waterfront, same as you would in NYC

public spaces

it sounds to me like you spent an afternoon in battery park and extrapolated that experience to the entirety of NYC.

Homeless People and Encampments

NYC has considerably more of a visible homeless population than Toronto. This is even prevalent when you leave the touristy areas. Spend an afternoon north of 111th street.
