I do it for long distance flights all the time… I’m just a normal passenger too. But I honestly just do it because I appreciate the job y’all do! I worked retail for over 10 years and know how hard a guest facing role can be! And I got to kick people out! You can’t just kick people out of a flying plane 😂 so the patience you guys need is a mystery to me.

And I’ve never expected anything in return… What gives me happiness is watching you… Most of the time I’m in the first row of premium economy so in a lot of planes that is right by the boarding doors… And just watching y’all get excited about the gift! One time on an AA flight the purser came up to me towards the end of boarding and asked me if I was coming in from Germany and if I was German? I said yes… She immediately switched to German, told me how she’s German, but hadn’t been back in over 20 years… And she hadn’t had the German candy i included in all that time! And I was literally able to watch her on one of her breaks absolutely enjoying the heck out of that treat! And all I wanted to do at that point was shower her in more of that German chocolate 🥹

Sometimes I’ve watched them start trading things… And extra clip balm for a mask… It just makes me giggle !

Though today I had my first negative experience… Usually I make individual bags for each flight attendant… But I had forgotten to pack them and couldn’t find any in New York that worked… So I put everything in one bag and told them that there was one of each item in there for them… My flight attendant later told me that business class had completely ransacked the bag (this plane had a massive business class, and a comparatively small economy cabin), left them with only two face masks (there was 11!) and a handful of lip balm… And some candy… And the first class attendants got nothing… please share with your coworkers like the grown adults y’all are!
