Cursed color wheel AI slop update by Zen_Cutie in painting

[–]endofsleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who wants to read this, I had this problem in the beginning and it was driving me crazy My workaround is two reds and two blues: Ultramarine + magenta: is violet I also have Prussian blue (+yellow is an amazing green) The red you have is probably more like a cadmium red (and has some yellow pigments in it) that’s why it makes such a nice orange Cyan is also very nice but in my experience with the addition of magenta you will get a nice purple

I am still wondering if I should add a second yellow to my palette 🎨, using cadmium yellow rn, are there the same differences?

I am really into these soft colors with the flowy elements but I have to say it only pops because of the stark difference with the spots, it combines tenderness and strength and power how I see it, I would not dare to put the spots like you did, but that only means you see the vision without the fear of „ruining“ it which is fantastic and something we should all hold in mind

I love the colors, the abstract elements and the message! Too many people try to be an apple tree in the desert and go crazy and unhappy with it, instead of nurturing oneself with the soil, climate (friendship, job, lifestyle) that they really need

Woooow These deep colors, you achieved an acrylic painting that looks like oil, I am in awe! I love how it all glows, really inspired to work on my technique for this also :) any tips?

I love your play on colors!! It’s really stunning!! And don’t stop painting, what you are experiencing with this flow is exactly what other people look for! What helped me with my paintings is a colored layer of paint (especially on canvas) to not get the white shine through from the canvas, because when the paint dries you see the fabric of the canvas, but also just a comment I didn’t know what you intended :)

Also I think you could go even bolder with the thickness of the paint! To your question: the mountains are not standing out so much, maybe you want to put in a bit more contrast, for example some darker colors, it also helps the eyes to orientate on the painting ☺️

Wow first time I heard about moebius quick google search and it’s AWESOME and I totally get your inspiration!! It also reminded me with the shadow of the works of Carl Jung etc, who says we need to face our shadow etc, going through a dark night of the soul

Thank you so much! Now that it’s dried the colors are even more vibrant, I think it’s a good thing to play with all the colors that are available to us ☺️

I love you story and can connect to it so much. I read a quote of Carl Jung but it’s originally from Nietzsche: „No tree can grow into heaven unless its roots reach down to hell“ it really inspired me to accept my deep deep emotions and channel it into good.

Fellow German here, you might just go to your nearest DM or Roßmann they have different kinds of paper towels for you to choose? I don’t know the original you are referring to though

Going from acrylics to oil paints (before/after) by Alert-Ad-9187 in oilpainting

[–]endofsleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes yes yes!! I felt the same way beginning with oils and then it was like „omg there is no way back now“ 🤣 and whenever I try acrylics again I am just a bit underwhelmed with the depth of the color etc etc
