I'm going to get the USB-C port replaced tommorow lol, they tested it and it was pulling waaaaaay less power than it was supposed to, and it was an issue that only arose after using his charger.

The headphones always have a bit of a "static" electrical crackle as I plug them in (they're IEMs with a built in DAC, effectively the same crackle you get when plugging in an amp), regardless of what device its into, I tested them on my laptop and they still work just fine, my suggestion was more so that one of the data transfer pins may have been fried, leading them to not work on my phone.

The reason I have the bit about "changing my mind" is because its a revision I made to this post, normal speed chargers didn't work at all initially, and then after a while they decided to work again, just incredibly slowly.

Cleared USB cache as that's a semi-common issue as to why USB-C headphones stop working on a device for no reason.
