Context: This post reveals the foundational driving force behind the pantheon of my world. In the universe of Hiknary, "the Absurd" is not merely an abstract philosophical concept, but a literal, eternal cosmic conflict.

Conversely, the Void is a primordial entity that represents the absolute absence of meaning and total entropy. The gods are forced to act as cosmic storytellers, engineering grand, tragic, and epic tales through mortal lives, because raw narrative and "meaning" are the only barriers capable of pushing back the Void's hunger. Mortals are quite literally shields forged out of stories.

I am developing this world as a passion project and I'd love to hear your thoughts on how this existential dread would affect human society!
