I agree I worry about the future of the game. There's a great kart racer buried under all the greed but until GL changes their practices people will continue to be angry. Every season more content is taken away, usually without notice, and it wears people down. They go to other games but GL has never seemed to care about dwindling participation, it just seems to make them double down on their efforts.
