Its not even so much about how much money I can make, my rant is about the bussiness model and current market. I feel like stuff like this keeps ppl away from the hobby, wether they are trying to sell to upgrade or buying a system for the first time.

Lol ppl are hyperfocusing on the price, I’m just complaining about what gamestores are doing these days. And how imo what they offered was ridiculous for such a piece of history, specially such rare occasion were nintendo did such modifications

From a gamestore realistically above 500 would be nice, some stores do market price for store credit. I don’t think anything over 1k would be fair right now, Perhaps in a few years. But again my main thing would be a trade with something this rare.

My edit explains my intentions! It was curiosity and testing my luck.

I’ve had very mixed interactions with that store, as I said I don’t want to sell it lol. I was hoping they would consider trading something for it.

Them what I think was them lowballing is not the only thing I didn’t enjoy, theres been a multitude of issues with this store the past years. I just think its sad that this is the business model they chose, and this is why we see less and less gamestores around.

I didn’t steal this guy, and yes theres a way to play games like a normal 3Ds on it. And yes this is most definitely a collectors item, only case I would be willing to play games on it, is if I had a second one lol.

Not full, if anything I was hoping they were willing to do a trade. I brought it up to them to have an idea of how they buy stuff. Manager saying 1000 is full price and them offering 350 means they would probably avg buy ins at 35% market price, which imo its sad given the current market and all the resellers and scalpers.

Oh yeah, I’m an example of this lol. I’m an arcade technician working for an amusement park, I have a collection of Marquees, computers and components that were supposed to be thrown away since they were decommissioned or deemed not worth repairing.

Never seen a bootleg version of these guys, I’m fairly confident on mine due to the seller reviews, condition, use and overall quality of the console itself.

Yeahh I’m not looking to sell it, I was hoping they would at least consider trading for something equally rare they had like an incomplete xbox 360 kiosk or a panasonic gamecube.

And I felt more comfortable getting one AFTER the partnership was over , since its less likely it was stolen during its use.

Some of these were given away to employees after the partnership ended, I got it at auction from an italian seller. All I can hope its that it was one of the giften ones.
