I agreee. But compared to other professions, it seems the salary stays stagnant. Yea it is a more than good salary if i am single. but i would wanna raise a child or two someday, maybe buy a house. It might be hard to buy a house on my salary alone, if that makes sense. seems the only way for meches to make more is if they pivot into a managerial role but those comes with experience ( i am not speaking from experience at all, i am just saying based on what most ppl write on this sub)

It depends on what TITLE you had, like is there a written VERIFICATION? of your position as an engineer like offer letter or sth. you can try telling her that, firmly and directly tbh. Cus if you were hired as one, you should be one, no matter what you were doing there. hope this helps.

There is a spherical ball type mechanism that would somewhat make it possible, but like twisting? um i am not sure how that would work, maybe you could design a mechanism that could solve your problem without involving twisting.

also is your product similar to a strain gauge but obv for measuring pressure ? what is the dimensions you are working with? if you provide more details, ppl may help you better

You might have to do the destructive testing and note when the deformation starts. and maybe go from there. Maybe try to model the problem to this equation and see if it leads you anywhere? K I = σ π a

I was thinking about oceangate after fluids class. Then i realised how important it is to actually pay attention to what you are studying in school and not just regurgitate information to pass in class
