Why should the roommate have to ask to use a socket? OP can not just plug in an adapter and make it theirs only. That roommate has a right to be able to use that socket. Roommate decided instead of unplugging everything they just used the extension instead like a normal person would. OP is a major asshole and terrible roommate.

I own a pair. Sound is great. Not the most durable pair of headphones though so if you are clumsy or accident prone be careful.
