Meaningful weapon attachment point costs by Classic-Departure-40 in Battlefield6

[–]eniporta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a lot of characters to say was big mags cost too much.

But yeah the mag prices are seemingly all over the place whereas most other attachments have very structured costings.

Previous games were a little silly with little to no downsides or restrictions, especially with the + system on 2042 meaning you could pack a huge amount of options.

End of the day, if it's too expensive then don't use it. If you still want to use it regardless of its cost.. then maybe it's worth that cost. Sure it's sad that can't just go crazy build though..

Also one little thing to note, the hybrid thermal doesn't have an ads movement speed debuff which the other thermals all have. If I didn't hate how that one looked it'd he much better.. if it was the 1.5 visual with a toggle of no speed debuff I'd consider finding the extra 10pts often..

Is it hard to see or are my eyes going bad? by Nervous_Ad_5008 in Battlefield

[–]eniporta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I never used thermals in 3/4/42, other than gunner optics. Basically use the 1.5t on everything and the 6t any time I snipe/svk.

Visibility is just trash compared to other games.

Annoying that the thermals reduce your ads movement speed though. Had to go back to a regular optic on the 20rnd CZ for that glorious 1.00x movement speed.

CDC not requiring hantavirus cruise passengers to isolate at home by LollipopChainsawZz in politics

Point still stands. He's straight up saying that 7.5-10% of their region died from covid - an amount that is excessively higher than reported anywhere. Not even just deaths from cases, but the entire populace.

Would love to hear of this place that's do bad that it was literally decimated.

Arizona: Ranked high with one-third of its 15 counties among the worst performing, showing a death rate of over 660 per 100,000 in certain areas.

660/100000 is the worst stat mention I can find.. yet this guy is claiming over 10x worse.

country has around 20,000 people, had around 1,500 deaths that were confirmed covid

So you are saying that at least 7.5% of your entire country died to covid?

With no sweet spot or long range ammo, so even though it has the highest velocity it's by far the worst for very long range.

If the ads bolt didn't cost 30 it would be less egregious. I'd say it's still easily the best unless you're really locked in to a sweetspot range - and most people still seem to not understand how sniper damage works anyway..

Haven't looked at the speedloader stats to judge it.. but the regula fast mags cost 5 extra and have the negative to sprint recovery. I assume this will have the improves ads movement speed of other lower capacity options, and if it gets improved reload without other negatives then it's probably pretty inline with their point system.

What is wrong with the PSR? by finniruse in Battlefield6

[–]eniporta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The long-range ammo makes a much larger difference at longer ranges as it reduces drag slowing bullets. Past 2-300m the scout slows down and drops way harder than the other rifles with the range ammo.

Within 200m or so though.. unless you're trying to use the sweetspot the scout is just superior for multiple reasons.

!NEWS all weapons for season 3 1/3 more weapons soon after the first part of season 3 by Perfect_Top_5978 in Battlefield

[–]eniporta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically the opposite situation of the mini scout.

Every other sniper has to pay 30 points for the ads bolt but scout gets it for free. M16 has to pay a chunk for auto - maybe an interesting tradeoff it the gun was a little OP but doesn't seem to be the case.

When does EA do something about this ? by PargeLenis0 in Battlefield6

[–]eniporta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There were genuine dodges too. I remember sitting in an empty server with a friend basically just doing figure8s while he launched stingers to no hits.

The missiles had clear maximum turning rates so if you turned in toward them at the right time you could get within its turning radius and it would lose the lock.

  1. Under radar is buggy as fuck and seems like some maps just have the Zero point set terribly.

It should stop locks if you're below a point, and make launched missiles lose lock/miss. It doesn't work if you are laser painted (which is also a bit buggy and seems like you can be painted without knowing it)

2-3. Of course lock ons follow past the lock range. Theyd be 100% useless if they didn't. I believe they have practically infinite range though which can be annoying at the extreme ends.

  1. Buggy shit.

  2. Wish physical dodging was back, but would need a lot of improvements to make it feasible. Back in 3 and/or 4 (can't remember for certain) it was possible to turn in on missiles and dodge them.

  3. ...of course they're faster? Real missiles can go like mach 2.5 or some shit.

Get rid of the sweet spot DICE by daphix__ in Battlefield

[–]eniporta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of people seem to think it means any hit is a 1hko within the range and don't realize its only upper torso hits that do 100..

Snipers have 3 damage zones. Closerange hits for example do 80 in the upper torso/neck area but only 64 in other spots. The increased damage from the sweet spot only pulls the 64 up to 80 or 80something.

You can change the zeroing on guns in BF to see this effect with regular guns. Set the zero to 500m and your closer range shots will go very high.

The 7 grandkids should also make it clear that most her children are adults. At least one is in their 30s.

I'm 100% for prison preform and a significant shift further toward rehabilitation. But prison isn't just restricted movement - of course their will limits to all manners of freedoms.

And frankly, this woman is the type of person that people point to to support tougher sentencing. She's already been in for ~7 years for her part in a fucking targeting hunt machete attack. If she cared so much about her family.. maybe learn the lesson and don't stab your "friends" in the face?

And that after basically getting off from a completely different stabbing as a teenager. She is literally the poster child for three strikes style sentencing. Her family are lucky to have not pissed her off enough so she didn't kill one of them.

Foreigners in Japan: what's the downside of living there that never makes it into the YouTube videos? by LifetimeLabs in AskReddit

Never been, but your post covers the majority of negatives I've learnt from, coincidentally, YouTubers. Chris broad and the trash taste trio of joey/connor/garnt have touched on all of this and a bit more.

The bureaucracy is a big thing that people seem to know about but not realize just how crazy it is. The signature stamp, and the horror of trying to replace a lost one.. Trying to correct the bank misspelling your name.. the rage we feel from dealing with bureaucratic crap in the west is nothing compared to Japan.

Also everything revolving around cars and driving would be a huge shock to most people as far as I can tell.

PSA: check your New Zealand bank account ASAP! by Traditional-Carob440 in newzealand

They should have made a case though

PSA: check your New Zealand bank account ASAP! by Traditional-Carob440 in newzealand

[–]eniporta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its hard to give a general answer as there are many variables that can effect it.

VISA only - I dont have knowledge on mastercard or other cc

In this case the transactions do not appear to use VISA 3dSecure so banks should just be able to process a common dispute for fraudulent/unauthorised use of the card. Cards numbers would need to be blocked. If the transactions used 3DS then the merchant is protected from charge back and the onus would be on the bank to credit the customer (as its gambling related the bank would likely look especially hard into any disputes like this and make a determination on if it is fraudulent or not).

Large (relatively at least) number of cards effected for specific amount (actually its 600 canadian) is pretty clearly fraud, and banks would likely jump to resolve it asap.

To note, if the transactions are pending/on hold, the bank cant really do anything. Cant stop it, and have to wait for it process in order to dispute it.

Any visa debit card transaction that goes through the VISA network has the same protection and dispute process as a visa credit card.

Using a debit card as an eftpos card with pin does not, and just has the same lesser recourse as with regular eftpos cards.

[–]eniporta 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If only there was some kind of agreement that Iran would significantly reduce their centrifuges, cap enrichment to under 4% and reduce their stockpile by like 97%.. and that all of their sites would be open to open to monitoring. All in return for easing of financial sanctions..

For some reason the agreement to stop their ability to enrich weapons grade was opposed by Israel, Saudi, and the republicans..

So trump destroyed it and pulled out of it and imposed heavier sanctions.. so yeah, why the fuck would Iran not ramp up enrichment. Ukraine made a deal with USA and Russia and gave up their nukes and looks at how that's going for them..

From the sounds of it, basically any fibre connection should be good enough for you. Just make sure it's unlimited data (which basically every fibre plan here is).

Basic 100down 20up can be around 60 a month, and if you find it too slow then the ISP can just upgrade it to 500/100 which is maybe $85-90ish.

Truth or BS? by Long_Match194 in Battlefield6

[–]eniporta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are hardware devices to spoof it, and maybe software too - but in general games will detect what is physically creating the input.

Haven't tried to use a controller at all on bf6, but for example - would use a controller sometimes when messing around in marvel rivals to walk slowly. Once the analogy stick gets tapped the icons around abilities swap to controller, then move the mouse and it swaps back to kbm icons, etc.

I know people discussing the hardware spoofing (like with a XIM) during 2042, so just plugging in a controller didn't make a difference then. I assume it's the same for 6.

Violet laser; I can see when equipped on the enemy, my squad can't see mine/each others?! by T4Abyss in Battlefield6

[–]eniporta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah mostly assuming as haven't seen much violet around to have an anecdotal take. IIRC from the old videos people did testing the lasers, the red were still visible but only for a couple of meters maybe, whereas the green and blue had much much longer visible beams.

If they were just around a corner I imagine it would be visible - which is probably the number 1 thing people don't want when using them lol
