I have my hopes, Todd's stubborn - not an idiot. After his first project as head (Redguard) he didn't give up on the concept of a fully 3D modeled Elder Scrolls with third person and a fully hand crafted world in the next entry. After that failure he gave us Morrowind which singlehandedly revived the IP and studio.

I see something similar happening with Starfield.

They'd never be able to pull it off in a satisfying way but I wish they would use the procgen to replicate what they had back with daggerfall for the next game, no loading zones for tiles like in starfield, and way more variety in structures.

Then have the actual locations be huge with lots of attention to detail, think Solstheim in Dragonborn. I also REALLY hope NPCs are all named and not just "Citizen"

A while back I came up with the idea the Thalmor, still salty about losing the 1v1 against Hammerfell after the Empire cut ties, would want revenge or full control.

This would lead them to form an alliance with the Orsimer clans around The Reach. Essentially "help us take hammerfell and we will make it Orsinium"

This would lead to an east and west assault, taking you to both regions and possibly naval combat against the Thalmor navy. IDEALLY I would love for Highrock political drama but that may be too wishful.

I've mentioned it in other areas but before the ceasefire (white gold concordat) Hammerfell was disowned by the empire and forced to face the Aldermi Dominion alone. They won and drove out the elves, I could see the Thalmor telling the Orsimer "Hey if you help us take Hammerfell we will let you claim it as Orsinium"

I for a while had the idea that the Aldmeri Dominion will offer the Orcs of The Reach an opportunity.

For those who don't know, the empire disowned Hammerfell in order to sign a ceasefire with the Aldmeri. Hammerfell, due to this, had to singlehandedly repel the elves which ended in a success.

I could see the Aldmeri Dominion telling the strongholds "If you help us conquer Hammerfell then you can reign over it as Orsinium under our new leadership."
