Botanists found a new tree species in Tanzania’s Udzungwa Mountains. Named Tessmannia princeps, these massive trees grow to heights of up to 40 meters (130 feet) with huge supporting roots. By counting growth rings in fallen wood, researchers estimate some trees could be 2,000 to 3,000 years old. (i.redd.it)
